The Medallion novel Chapter 1535

Two days passed in the twinkling of an eye. Rocky and Eunice had searched through numerous areas under Kohen's guidance, but they couldn't find any traces of the Army-blessing Scroll.

"Hey, little guy, can you find it or not?

I'm getting tired of all this searching!" complained Eunice.

She heaved Kohen upward and forced it to look into her eyes as she scowled at it grumpily.

Kohen stared back at her with an innocent, puppy-like expression that erased all the irritation she felt earlier.

"Oh, darn it! Don't look so sad. We'll find it soon," muttered Eunice.

She hesitantly patted Kohen on the head, trying to comfort it.

All of a sudden, the little pet abruptly straightened warily and hissed twice. It seemed like it had sensed something dangerous coming their way, as it glared fiercely toward the left of where Rocky and Eunice were standing.

Almost at the same time, Rocky also noticed the subtle shaking of the ground that grew stronger and stronger every second as if a huge monster was approaching.

"What's wrong, little guy?

Is something coming?"

Eunice asked Kohen, turning her confused gaze toward Rocky.

While Rocky and Eunice were looking at each other in bewilderment, an enormous shadow suddenly covered them. It stood at least ten meters tall, as high as a small mountain. Although they couldn't see clearly what it looked like, they could see the black spikes protruding from all over its body, which made it look like a gigantic hedgehog.

"Whoa! That thing is huge. Let's get out of here!"

Rocky was the first to react. He saw that they were at a disadvantage and immediately shouted a warning. He grabbed Eunice's waist and swiftly dragged her backward with him.

Rocky, with Eunice in his arms, retreated and landed on his feet dozens of meters away from the giant hedgehog. But it suddenly shook its huge body, and black spikes instantly shot out from it like a rainstorm, covering the area within a hundred meters with black spikes. The surrounding trees became collateral damage as the spikes speared through them and tore them to pieces.

The black spikes were as thick as tree trunks. Thus, once a spike struck the ground, it instantly cracked and collapsed like sand. Although Rocky and Eunice tried their best to defend against the spikes with their spiritual power, their defensive moves were helpless in the face of their sheer power. In one instance, one spike broke through their spiritual power' defense, heading directly toward Eunice's chest.

"Eunice! Watch out!"

Seeing that Eunice was in grave danger, Rocky didn't have time to think and instinctively protected her with his own body.

In the blink of an eye, the black spike stabbed Rocky from behind. It held so much force that it protruded from Rocky's right shoulder and almost reached Eunice. Fortunately, he had adjusted his posture just in time to avoid it from hurting Eunice. The huge power contained in the spike also affected his body and destroyed his meridians, causing him intense pain. His eyes darkened from the blow, and his vision shifted and spun.

"Hurry! Run!"

However, before he completely lost his consciousness, he was able to whisper a warning to Eunice, urging her to escape.

His voice was hoarse and weak, sounding like he was on the verge of death.

"Basil? Basil! Wake up!" Eunice felt both guilty and terrified. Rocky had just saved her life, at the cost of his own safety. She shook Rocky a few times but found that he wasn't responding, which made her even more anxious. She was afraid that the giant hedgehog would try to attack them again, so she didn't hesitate to grab Kohen from Rocky's shoulders, thrust it into her pocket, and then used her delicate body to support Rocky. At the same time, she took out a spiritual rune, and spontaneously used her spiritual power to ignite it.

The next moment, the rune erupted into a white ripple of light, which instantly devoured Rocky and Eunice.

Once the light dissipated, the two of them had disappeared from where they had been.

On the other hand, the giant hedgehog seemed to calm down when they were gone. It turned around and left, leaving the forest of about a hundred meters radius destroyed.

Meanwhile, Eunice had transported herself and Rocky to a small valley three hundred meters away. Thick foliage and gigantic trees enveloped the valley, which made it perfect for hiding.
