After a while, a battle of attrition ensued, but the gap in their strength became very visible. Although Rocky used his experiences to the fullest, he still couldn’t resist the continuous attacks from their enemies. Soon, the casualties in his army increased, and their defense gradually became much weaker.

‘Damn it! Nothing is working,’ Rocky thought to himself. But his eyes were still determined, not ready to give up anytime soon.

Then, after a brief moment, a brilliant idea suddenly struck him. As a cunning smile crept up his lips, he closed his eyes and activated the Army-blessing Scroll immediately.

Since the Army-blessing Scroll’s effect could only be maximized when it was used within an army, Rocky thought that it was the best time to utilize it. However, the weaker the morale of the group was, the lesser would be its effect and vice-versa.

Knowing this, Rocky selected a poem called “A Great Wind” from the thousands of poems inscribed in the scroll. This particular poem didn’t need too much morale to put it into effect, so it should be appropriate in this situation.

“A great wind came forth, and the clouds rose on high. Now that my might rules over all of the seas, I have returned to my old village. Where will I find brave men to guard the borders of my land?” Rocky recited the poem loudly as he opened his eyes and focused on the battle before him.

In a flash, a dazzling golden light surged out of Rocky’s body that transformed into words, filling both the heavens and earth. Immediately after, a violent wind roared in the midst of the battlefield, raising dust of hundreds of thousands of feet, which instantly shrouded the enemies’ vision.

At the same time, the morale of Rocky’s troops was suddenly uplifted. A strong fighting spirit filled their heart, and their fighting ability was also boosted.

With this, their weakened defense became stable again, and the enemies were unable to push them to a corner.

Seeing that the morale of his army had dramatically risen, Rocky immediately took advantage of it and made a move against their enemy. He then chanted another piece to further increase his army’s morale. “The wild geese are flying high in the moonless night, and the enemy general is running for his life under the cover of the darkness…”

“Break out!” Rocky exclaimed. He then led his army to get past the enemy’s encirclement while the strong wind blew and the surroundings were enveloped in darkness.

Because of the sudden obstructions between heaven and earth, the enemy couldn’t tell the route that Rocky’s army was taking. Eventually, they couldn’t contain them in their encirclement anymore.

When the sun came out again and the strong wind subsided, Rocky’s troops had already disappeared without a trace.

“Ha-ha!” A moment later, Rocky, who had just successfully led his army to break through the siege, was immediately woken up from the illusion and saw that Augus was laughing loudly in front of him.

“What happened, sir?” Rocky asked with a confused expression on his face.

“Young man, did you just use the Army-blessing Scroll?” Augus asked as soon as he stopped laughing.

“Yes,” Rocky replied briefly, but he was now more confused because this great general knew the existence of the scroll.

“I see. It seems that you are the one chosen to fulfill the heavenly destiny,” Augus said with a smirk on his face.

“Sir, how did you know about the Army-blessing Scroll?” Rocky couldn’t help but ask.

“How? Because I once got my hands on that scroll. Unfortunately, I wasn’t the one destined to be its owner. Hence, I wasn’t able to utilize its fullest capability. In fact, my mysterious military arrays were created by my comprehension of the scroll. Just imagine what you can achieve from it since you are the legitimate master,” Augus said as he explained that he briefly became the scroll’s master before.

“Oh, I see…” Rocky was almost rendered speechless upon realizing the extent of the scroll’s might.
