The Medallion novel Chapter 1689

Gilbert, who flew into a colossal rage earlier, was now at a loss for words upon realizing Gloria's true identity. He didn't expect the Godly Genius of the Genie Fief to hinder their alliance with the Flower Fief in such an unpredictable manner!

"Leader Gilbert, I question the validity of this engagement covenant! It's ridiculous!" Elder Leticia complained furiously. She could tell that Gloria came to intentionally hinder their alliance.

"Well…" Gilbert found himself stuck in a dilemma. Although he didn't want to acknowledge the engagement covenant Gloria clutched in her hand, their signatures and fingerprints on it were undeniable. But if he did confirm it, he would gravely disappoint the Flower Fief.

"Give me that engagement covenant!" Valeria furiously commanded. She was so enraged at Gloria trying to ruin her engagement that she suddenly lunged at her to reclaim the covenant.

However, Gloria quickly braced herself and swiftly tucked the covenant into her sleeve as she hid behind Gilbert and exclaimed, "Leader of the Ghost Fief, I know you and my father have known each other for a long time. Although we've never met, would you have the heart to allow the daughter of your old friend to be hurt by others?"

She looked at him with a delicate charm that allured the hearts of many of the men present.

"Come out and face me!" Valeria grew even more infuriated when Gloria hid behind Gilbert.

Gilbert knew he was in deep trouble, but Gloria was right. He and the leader of the Genie Fief, Adrian, shared a bond. However, both of them had gone their separate ways and didn't interfere in each other's business for quite some time. Gilbert knew that Gloria had gone too far. But if she was hurt in his territory, it would inevitably cause disputes between the two fiefs.

Gilbert thought about it for a moment before he waved his hand at Valeria and said, "Godly Genius of the Flower Fief, please calm down. I will deal with the engagement covenant. Since you have signed the engagement covenant, you are naturally Odin's legitimate fiancee. Everyone present was a witness to this. No need to worry!"

"But what about her?" Valeria questioned as she shot Gloria a venomous glare.

"Gloria is... also Odin's fiancee now as well since she has signed the engagement covenant, too," Gilbert revealed. It was a fact that the covenant had been signed by three people. He said those words as well to calm Gloria down.

"What?! This is unacceptable! If that's the case, I will call off the engagement!" Valeria firmly and furiously declared.

"She's right. We, the Flower Fief, won't allow such ridiculousness to happen!" Elder Leticia chimed in.

"Please don't worry, Elder Leticia and Valeria. Let me have a thorough talk with Gloria to sort this all out. I'll persuade her to give up and hand over the engagement covenant," Gilbert informed them. He needed to stabilize the situation first before talking with Gloria alone.

"But…" Valeria still wanted to add something, but Elder Leticia realized that if they continued to argue in the presence of so many people, they would turn themselves into a laughingstock. So she interrupted Valeria and said, "Godly Genius, let's go. I trust that Leader Gilbert will provide us with a reasonable explanation for all of this later."

The more experienced Elder Leticia maintained her composure. Even if they came to blows, it would all be useless.
