"You've arranged everything so well, sir," Rocky praised. Even though he saw this coming from a mile away, he was amazed by Gilbert's effort.
"Although you may be unable to complete the mission in the Nether Fire Land, it will still prove to be good practice for you two. I hope that you and Valeria will make use of this opportunity to be familiar with each other. This mission will lay the foundation of your dual cultivation." Gilbert explained his thought.
"What? Dual cultivation?" Rocky was caught off guard. From his perspective, he and Valeria would never do such a thing.
"Well, let's talk about that when you get back from your mission!" Gilbert cut him off before Rocky could protest.
Rocky let out a dry smile in response and then went out of the conference hall.
Meanwhile, Gloria was making her way to the guest hall which had been arranged by Gilbert. She walked with a spring in her step since she was in a good mood for having successfully sabotaged the engagement between the Ghost Fief and Flower Fief.
"Maybe Leader Gilbert will come soon," Purple said anxiously.
"That's right. He must be in a hurry to get the engagement covenant back," Gloria said as she sat down on a chair.
"Are you going to return the engagement covenant?" Purple asked, still in shock. She couldn't wrap her head around what her lady was thinking. If it were her, she wouldn't have snatched the engagement covenant in public and signed her name on it in the first place.
"What? No way! This is what we call a bargaining chip," Gloria said while she waved the paper in the air with a crude smile on her face. "We can use this to put both the Ghost Fief and Flower Fief in a rather precarious position," she added.
"But if you offend Leader Gilbert, I'm afraid it'll be difficult for us to escape from here." Purple was beyond worried. She still didn't know what the lady was planning.
"Oh, stop worrying. He wouldn't dare lay a finger on me since he and my father have a good relationship." Gloria comforted the worried soul with her complete confidence.
"Well, it is always wise to play safe," Purple said under her breath.
"Plus, if he really would harm me, Odin will be my shield. After all, he is my fiance now." Gloria proved that she had already thought everything through.
"Will he really help us?" Purple couldn't help but doubt.
