The Medallion novel Chapter 1717

"I can't. My job is to protect the holy land. It was the last thing my former master asked of me. I hope you can forgive me for staying behind," the Wind Monster said, further proving how loyal and responsible he was.

"That's fine with me. See you later!" When Rocky was done speaking, he leapt into the whirlpool that filled the gap beyond the cliff.

Before long, Rocky could spot a dim light ahead of him. A few seconds later, his feet landed in a dark cave. After observing his surroundings, he knew that he had returned to the lair of the Nether Dragon King.

When his eyes had adapted to the light, he left the cave.

"I wonder how is Valeria doing now..." The first thing he needed to do was to find Valeria. She was tasked with subduing the Nether Dragon King, so if he searched the depths of the Nether Dragon King's lair, he would be able to locate her.

Nodding his head, he walked deeper into the Nether Dragon King's lair.

The day after Rocky had returned to the Nether Dragon King's lair, Valeria, Gloria, and Purple finally reached the depths of the Nether Dragon King's lair. They had overcome plenty of dangers along the way and now, they were facing the legendary, intelligent beast, the Nether Dragon King.

The Nether Dragon King's body looked like a dragon's. A long, narrow face and fangs that were powerful and sharp could be seen from a distance. The beast's skin was solid like it was made from iron or copper. Just one glance was enough to deter most people from fighting the beast.

Currently, the Nether Dragon King was battling against Israel.

He had arrived a few days ago. Straight away, he had approached the beast and tried out different subduing methods. Unfortunately, the Nether Dragon King was too strong and Israel was left with no other options but to subdue the beast using force.

However, Israel wasn't strong enough to do it successfully. He had used all his skills and the spiritual treasures that he had specially prepared for the beast, but he was still unsuccessful.

Quentin and Drew were also present. They were both standing in the dark and observing the fight, waiting for the right time to take action.

Originally, Valeria and Gloria's plan had been to destroy the alliance between Quentin and Drew, but they hadn't seen the two men on their journey. Therefore, they didn't have the chance to take action. Now that the Nether Dragon King was in front of them, they had to forget about Quentin and Drew and concentrate on subduing the beast.

"It looks like the Nether Dragon King is more powerful than we thought. Even the Godly Genius of the Primitive Fief is struggling to subdue it even when he is using the demonization skill," Valeria commented with a frown. She had been worrying about the task of subduing the Nether Dragon King for a while now.

"If we work together, it might be possible. But if we fight the beast alone, there's absolutely no chance," Gloria replied.

"I agree with you," Valeria said. Gloria looked at her with slightly wide eyes. The two of them agreeing was a rare occurrence.

"Purple, you stay here," Gloria said. According to the rules, only Godly Geniuses could carry out the mission of subduing the Nether Dragon King. So Gloria asked Purple to stay out of it.

Then, Gloria shouted, "Quentin, you little bastard, come over here!"

Quentin looked everywhere, feeling very confused. Out of the entire Shura Race, there were only a few people who dared to address him like that. Drew nudged him and pointed at Gloria. Quentin tilted his head. He didn't know that Gloria was coming too.

Because of the good relationship between the Purgatory Fief and the Genie Fief, Quentin and Gloria had known each other for a long time. However, they didn't like each other. In Gloria's opinion, Quentin was just a little kid and Quentin believed that Gloria was nothing but a vixen.

"Oops! A vixen is calling me!" Now that Gloria was there, Quentin refused to stay hidden. He walked out into the light
