The Medallion novel Chapter 1790

"Well, you are a Godly Genius, aren't you? If you can't even finish a hundred challenges from me, you don't deserve to be called one. Why don't you just let me eat your soul? However, I promise to give you a corresponding reward in return if you succeed. Ha-ha!" At this point, Ricardo had already shown his true colors. All along, his real intention was to devour Rocky's soul.

However, Rocky had already anticipated that something like this would happen. He had already become suspicious the moment Ricardo didn't show up when he spoke to him. Moreover, based on what he said, it seemed that he didn't have any intention of letting Rocky leave.

"Fine. What are the contents of these challenges?" Rocky asked, trying to ride along on what Ricardo wanted while devising a way to get out of there.

"Everything under the sun. It covers all sorts of things you can ever imagine; every kind of secret skill, things related to astronomy, geography, and even mysterious arrays used in military tactics. Once you have given a wrong answer, you shall suffer the impact of the spiritual sense attack. The only way you can leave is if you get everything right," Ricardo explained briefly.

"I see. Then, don't waste my time and get it going!" Rocky knew that there was no point in arguing with Ricardo anymore. He believed that nothing would be too difficult for him if he poured all of his determination to overcome them.

Soon enough, several shadows suddenly appeared in the previously empty palace, displaying various moves in the air. They moved rather swiftly and simultaneously. Thus, it was actually difficult to see or remember everything. Then, in the blink of an eye, the shadows dissipated as if they had never been there.

"Now, display all the moves that you have just seen!" Ricardo finally issued the first challenge.

'A challenge involving my memory, huh?' Rocky had somehow known that the challenge might be something like this. Hence, he thought carefully for a while before imitating the movements that the shadows performed earlier.

Fortunately for Rocky, although the shadows displayed several different strokes at the same time, he had inherited the memory of the royal king of the Shura Race. Therefore, he only needed to take a single glance at the shadows earlier to know what kind of unique skill they used.

Upon exhibiting the movements perfectly, a lamp suddenly lit up within the palace.

Behind the lamp, Rocky could see a wall, on which a map of the Ethereal Region was inscribed. However, at first glance, Rocky already noticed that it was incomplete. Several areas were missing from it.

'So, now, it is to test my knowledge in geography?' Seeing this, Rocky could just shake his head while letting out a faint smile. When he led the human army before, he had completely mastered the map of the Ethereal Region. Hence, he knew the entire region like his own palm.

After taking a closer look, he quickly recognized that the missing part in the map in front of him was actually an area that had been occupied by the spiritual race more than ten years ago.

Certain about his answer, Rocky used his spiritual power to draw and complete the map on the wall.

Upon finishing the last stroke, another lamp lit up. This time, he saw a vertical painting with a line of poems written on it. However, the words used in the poem were written in the language of the Shura Race. Although most of the letters being used by the Shura Race were a bit similar to that of the humans, some of them were very complicated and had been used since ancient times.

'He wants me to decipher and read this poem, right?' Rocky hesitated for a while and started deciphering the letters written.

Fortunately, since Rocky inherited the memory of the Shura Race's king, he was already quite familiar with the ancient characters used by the Shura Race. Not long after, he was able to completely read the line of the poem.

However, when he read out the words, he did not find a lamp that signaled the next challenge. Thus, it meant that he still had something missing to complete this one.

'Do I need to write it in the human language?'

After thinking for a while, Rocky approached the vertical painting and condensed his spiritual power on his fingertips. Then, he used it to write the poem on the painting.

As soon as Rocky's spiritual power touched the painting, the words he wished to write immediately showed up.

'I was right!' After confirming that this was what the challenge demanded from him, he began to write everything in the human language. However, he quickly noticed that with every stroke he did, a lot of his spiritual power was consumed.

But it was not really an issue for Rocky since his spiritual power was strong and abundant enough to overcome this. Otherwise, most of his spiritual power would have been consumed after just finishing the line.
