The Medallion novel Chapter 1960

"I'm Odin, the Godly Genius of the Ghost Fief. I came here to see you,"

Rocky proclaimed as he appeared before Enoch.

"It's you!" A shocked expression flashed across Enoch's face, and he immediately grew wary of his surprise visitor.

"I can't believe how carefree you are! Even facing the royal army can't stop you from taking delight in the pleasures of life, huh?" Rocky uttered playfully, gazing at the lovely ladies gracing Enoch's bed.

"You can leave now." With a curt nod, Enoch ordered the girls around him out of the room. He figured Rocky had planned this from the start, so he must keep his wits about him.

The girls instantly took off just as they were told.

"I don't think you are here simply to disturb my enjoyment, Odin. What do you want? Have you come to surrender to me?" Enoch asked disdainfully.

"And what good would it do to me if I surrender to you?" Rocky asked back, his eyebrows raised in derision.

"Oh, trust me, you'll receive tons of benefits. You can become my right-hand man with your strength, and if you are willing to hand over the Purgatorial Tripod, I promise that you will be second only to me in the future," Enoch offered sincerely this time, and the haughty tone of his voice all but vanished. The battle in the Ghostly Demon Land revealed that Rocky was a big threat, and the Purgatorial Tripod was still in his hands too. Therefore, Enoch had to do something about him. If he couldn't take Rocky down now, he could at least recruit the young man to his side. Anyway, now that the king had stripped Layla of her royal identity and declared Zain as his successor, the royal family wouldn't have a problem suppressing the Ghost Fief.

According to some rumors, Gilbert wanted to ingratiate himself to Zain, and the man had even taken the initiative to request the king to let him lead an army to support the royal army. How could a man of Rocky's exceptional talents work under Gilbert? Enoch figured that Rocky must be discontented too, and that was the reason the young man came to him today. Rocky probably wanted to show his sincerity and work with him.

"That sounds good." Rocky nodded, looking satisfied by Enoch's proposal.

"Tell me, what exactly do you want?" Enoch couldn't help but ask.

"I'm actually here to help you," Rocky answered bluntly.

"Huh? I didn't expect that you would be so kind. It's more plausible that Zain sent you here on purpose. He knows that you have what I want, so he set such a trap to trick me." A dubious frown darkened Enoch's features as he spoke.

"You're thinking too much. Have you forgotten that I work for Princess Layla? Knowing that, do you think Prince Zain will trust me? It was not too long ago that Leader Gilbert and I led the Ghost Fief's army to conquer the Wind Plain and tricked you into dividing your troops. However, although we succeeded, Prince Zain discarded us like trash. Instead of rewarding us, he even added insult to injury and relegated the Ghost Fief's army into taking care of logistics. Do you think we will voluntarily follow such a despicable man?" Rocky ranted disdainfully, using the Wind Plain as an excuse to make Enoch believe him.

"That makes sense. Zain has indeed gone too far! It is an impressive achievement that the Ghost Fief's army dominated the Wind Plain and even forced me to distribute troops. He should have rewarded you instead of turning his back on you. He doesn't seem to respect you at all," Enoch added. He obviously believed Rocky's words and wanted to stoke his anger against Zain.

"That's why Prince Zain can't become the king. If such a despicable person rules the Shura Race, we will be doomed!" Rocky went on as if he was incensed.
