Primrose gasped quietly when his tongue traced the sensitive curve of her neck.
Her knees trembled beneath her, making her felt like she would fall any time.
"I didn’t ... I didn’t mean to," she breathed out, her voice caught between a sigh and a moan.
Edmund’s hands slid down her arms and traced her body, brushing over her curves until she squirmed slightly in response.
"You sat on my lap," he muttered, pressing his mouth to her neck and biting gently, just enough to leave a mark below her collarbone.
"And you kept licking those beautiful lips of yours right in front of me."
Primrose’s eyes widened. She was just eating!
He had to be losing his mind, so desperate and needy that everything she did felt like temptation.
"No, you’re wrong," she said, wrapping her arms around his shoulders. "I wasn’t trying to tease you, but ..."
She smiled, leaning in until her lips nearly touched his. "... but if you’d like, I can show you what it looks like when I do tease you."
Primrose jumped into his arms, wrapping her legs around his waist to support her weight. Edmund was caught off guard, unable to say anything as he instinctively held her up.
She kissed his lips again, letting Edmund gently bite them before slipping his tongue into her mouth.
She gasped as her husband pressed her against the wall, trailing kisses down to her neck, biting her over and over until her pale skin turned red.
Primrose tilted her head back, offering her bare neck like a rabbit surrendering itself to a wolf.
She deliberately lowered the sleeves of her dress to tease him further, and Edmund gladly accepted the invitation she offered.
Fortunately, her dress wasn’t too complicated that day. Marielle had chosen it to ensure Primrose could sit comfortably in the carriage.
Even so, taking off a modest dress quickly was still a challenge. Edmund, whose patience had run thin, suddenly tore it off.
Primrose flinched in surprise, but said nothing.
After all, Marielle had packed several dresses for her. Besides, she could use this as an excuse to make Edmund buy her more dresses in Moonshadow.
"Husband ..." she whispered, gently holding his chin so he’d look at her. "My back hurts."
They had been in that position for too long, and she was starting to feel numb in her legs and lower back. Beside that, the cold wall behind her was making her shiver.
"I’m sorry." Edmund hugged her tighter, lifting her in his arms and carrying her to the bed. "I got a little carried away."
No, he wasn’t just carried away. He had completely forgotten everything else.
He probably wouldn’t have stopped if Primrose hadn’t spoken up.
"Oh, there’s a big wooden bath outside," Primrose said, catching sight of it through the balcony window.
Now that she had a chance to look around, she finally noticed how spacious the inn’s bedroom was.
Of course, it wasn’t as grand as her room in the palace, but it was certainly large for a traveler’s inn.
Perhaps it was because this route was often used by nobles, so the innkeeper had prepared special rooms for guests like them.
