The Mind-Reading Mate Why Is the Lycan King So Obsessed With Me novel Chapter 67

Chapter 67: I Know You Will Catch Me

Primrose had spent the past two days knitting the gloves, and during those two days, she hadn’t seen Edmund at all.

The soldiers had told her that ever since the Urdak chief and his family passed away, the position had been left empty. Because of that, the tribe members began fighting among themselves to claim the title of chief. freeweɓnovel~cѳm

To stop the bloodshed, Edmund decided to personally step in and choose the most suitable person to become the next chief. But before he could make the decision, he had to observe and test them himself.

That was why he had been away from the palace for two whole days.

"What a hardworking person," Primrose muttered with a small sigh.

She leaned against the cold balcony railing on the third floor, gazing up at the night sky. It wasn’t very bright tonight because thick, dark clouds covered most of the stars.

The night was already late, but like always, Primrose struggled to sleep.

Therefore, she chose to wander around the quiet palace, hoping that walking would make her feel tired enough to rest.

Now, she was indeed tired, but somehow too tired to go back to her room, and ended up resting in the open space on the third floor instead.

Luckily, a few soldiers were stationed nearby, so Primrose didn’t feel completely alone.

"Do you think His Majesty will return tonight?" she asked softly, turning to the soldier standing by the balcony door.

"I’m not sure, Your Majesty," the soldier replied. "But I heard from the others that the matter with the Urdak tribe has been settled."

[Poor Queen,] the soldier thought quietly. [She must be really lonely without His Majesty here. She even has trouble sleeping when he’s gone.]

Come to think of it, Primrose realized the same thing.

It seemed like she could always sleep so peacefully whenever she spent the night with Edmund. But still, she couldn’t just ask him to stay with her every night, could she?

Well ... if she did, Edmund would probably scream in excitement without a second thought.

Even so, Primrose didn’t want to be the one to bring it up. She had already been the one taking the first step too many times. This time, she wanted Edmund to be the one who asked.

Besides, she honestly didn’t like the decorations in his room. The dark walls and floors made it feel gloomy, she’d probably feel more miserable sleeping there often.

Speaking of decorations, maybe she really should tell Edmund that she wanted to change the color of her own bedroom.

Green and gold might work well.

While Primrose was busy thinking about which colors would suit her room, she suddenly caught the faint sound of horse hooves in the distance. The neigh was so loud that anyone within a few kilometers could probably hear it.

There was only one noisy horse in the palace who made a fuss like that.

It was Dante.

That big, troublesome horse who always stole food from the other horses, to the point where they had to put him on a diet for a whole month.

Primrose straightened her back, watching as the horse and its rider entered the palace grounds.
