The Mind-Reading Mate Why Is the Lycan King So Obsessed With Me novel Chapter 80

Chapter 80: Good Morning Kiss (2)

"Here," Edmund said, gently helping her into her nightgown. "I’m sorry if they’re a little wrinkled. Maybe ... I should ask the maids to leave some of your clean clothes in my room. That way, you won’t have to wear the same ones again."

Primrose and Edmund both turned their faces away at the same time.

Her cheeks were burning, completely red and hot. Honestly, it felt like Edmund had just asked her to come to his room more often ... oh, how embarrassing.

"The... the baby won’t appear right away, right?" Edmund said seriously, like he was discussing something that involved the kingdom’s security. "So maybe we can—"

"I get it," Primrose cut him off before he could finish what was sure to be a very embarrassing sentence. "We can ... do that again later."

Edmund clenched his fists tightly. His thoughts were immediately flooded with excitement, so loud it almost gave Primrose a headache. [My wife ... my wife wants it too! She said she’ll come to my room again later!]

"How often ... can we do it?" Edmund asked, cautiously stepping back as if he knew he was asking something risky.

[Every day? Or maybe once every two days?]

Every day? That was way too much, especially if Primrose would soon have official royal duties.

"I’m not sure ..." she said, thinking about it for a moment. "How about ... once a week?"

Would he be disappointed? Of course, he would, right? Most men would probably expect their wives to sleep with them every day.

But Edmund just nodded. "Alright," he said with a faint smile, so faint that she almost didn’t notice it. "Once a week, then."

Primrose blinked in disbelief. She didn’t expect him to agree so easily. Wasn’t once a week too little for a man, especially for a Lycan with such strong desire like him?

Maybe ... he’s shouting his disappointment in his head, she thought.

[My wife has already blessed me just by being here. I shouldn’t ask for more. It’s not easy to hold back my desire, but it’ll be worth it when she lets me touch her again.]

He really wasn’t disappointed at all. If anything, he sounded grateful, as if a goddess had given him the most precious gift in the world.

"I think I should get going now," Edmund said softly. "I’ll change in another room, so ... see you at dinner, wife."

He walked slowly toward the door, clearly not wanting to leave. But just as he reached for the handle—

"Oh, wait!" Primrose called out.

Edmund turned around right away, hope lighting up in his eyes.

[Is she going to give me a good morning kiss? Or maybe ... a hug? I’ll take either!]

Unfortunately for him, it wasn’t that.

Primrose walked up to him and said, "Actually ... I don’t really like the color of my bedroom. Can I change it?"

Edmund paused, surprised.

[She doesn’t like it? But I thought humans liked light colors...]

If she thought dark gray was already too light, then white might just blind her on the spot.
