MOON'S POV:-
It took me a moment to change my clothes. I then grabbed Ocean's hand and pulled her out of our bedroom. We walked towards the kitchen together, hand in hand. I heard the sound of her stomach growling as she inhaled the aroma of the strawberry pie ma had baked for her. I chuckled softly and shook my head seeing how cute she was. We both froze into our tracks as we captured the scent of an unknown person inside the mansion. I sniffed the air twice then my eyes glowed red and my fangs and claws grew bigger. I pushed Ocean behind me and both of us stepped into the kitchen. Seeing that unknown man inside our mansion my eyes widened in shock. I looked at Zeus who was talking with that man. Zeus looked at us and smiled while standing up.
Alpha Zeus: Ah! Moon and Ocean are here. Moon, meet your grandfather, Vincent Redford.
Alpha Zeus said in a calm tone while both me and Ocean were glued to the ground. I remembered him. It was really him. It was the same person that brought me to Vivian. And she saved my life. Of course, Zeus had already told us that he would visit us soon. I did not think it would be this much sooner.
My grandfather stood up and came to me. I was both happy and nervous at the same time. Happy because I finally got the chance to meet someone with my own blood. And nervous because I knew nothing about my bloodline and our traditions. My palms were getting sweaty. I finally understood what Ocean felt when we went to Vivian. Of course, that feeling of meeting those who share the same blood and the same DNA as yours, for the first time, it's something that can never be defined with words. It was both a magical and joyful moment of my life.
He stood in front of me and looked at me from head to toe. A satisfied smile made its way to his lips as he grabbed both of my shoulders and pulled me in a fatherly hug. What I felt was my shoulder getting wet, it was his tears that started soaking my shoulder. Tears of joy. Tears of reunion. He was patting my back in a proud full way. He broke the hug and I saw emotions dancing in his green eyes. His eyes made me think like I was looking into a mirror that shows the future. Like I was looking at my older self.
Vincent Redford: Look at you. It almost feels like yesterday when your mother was in labour and I heard your sweet melodious voice for the first time. Now look at you. You are a fully grown man standing in front of your old grandfather.
My grandfather said with teary eyes. Hearing him, my eyes also filled with salty water. He cupped my face with both of his hands and wiped my tears with the pads of his thumbs. He patted my cheek then turned to look at ma and pa.
Vincent Redford: Mr and Mrs Kart, I can never thank you enough for taking care of my Moon. To give him the family that was snatched away from him when he was born. I know, I would never have given him anything that you have given him. Don't think that I am here to take him away. He is part of your family. I just want to see my grandson sometimes whenever I feel lonely. I don't have anyone in my family except for him.
My grandfather said with a shaky voice that hinted how broken and weak he had become. I knew the person who had taken me to Vivian was a strong man. But this man was both weak and broken. I could not blame him. He had lost his child. I could not imagine his pain. Pain of losing someone precious. I could see how much he had suffered because of that old bastard. I did not know what to do. I also knew that he was Ocean's biological father. And I did not have courage to ask her what she thought of her demon father.
