“Grandpa Hunter, I know you favor Samantha and don’t think

Josiah sighed. “I don’t care what Noah promised you. There’s no way you’re replacing Sam and marrying into the Hunter Family. If you know what’s good for you, you’ll stay away from Noah. But if you don’t, don’t blame me for taking actions you won’t be able to accept.” 

With that, Josiah left Amy’s side, giving a cold snort as he walked away. When he returned to Noah’s ward, he looked at the young man with obvious displeasure. How could this boy be so fickle? What a disappointment! 

“Noah, I just had a detailed conversation with Amy,” Josiah said icily. “She said you promised to leave Sam and marry her. Is that true?” 

Noah had only said that to deceive Amy; he never actually planned to marry her. But looking at his grandfather, it seemed like he completely believed Amy’s words. 

“Grandpa, only take Amy’s words with a grain of salt,” Noah said gravely. “It can’t be taken seriously.” 

Glad that he had been right about Noah’s decision, Josiah pressed on, “Since what Amy said isn’t true, what are your thoughts about Sam? Now, because of Amy, Sam is married to Finley. I don’t know if she’s slept with him, but I will acknowledge only Sam as my granddaughter–in–law. 

“If anyone tries to interfere, they’ll be opposing me! And anyone who opposes me loses everything. For instance, if you dare to leave Sam and marry Amy, I will make sure you end up with nothing. Do you understand?” 

Noah knew Josiah meant what he said. Though he didn’t fully understand why his grandfather was so fond of Samantha, if Josiah wanted him to marry her, he would do so, especially since he himself liked Samantha a lot. 

“Don’t worry, Grandpa. I won’t leave Samantha.‘ 

“And what if she has already slept with Finley? Will you still be with her?” 

Noah smiled. “Grandpa, I don’t care if a woman is a virgin or not. I love Samantha for who she is, not her body.”
