“Are you annoyed by me?” asked Garrison, a hint of displeasure in his eyes at the possibility. 

Samantha realized that Garrison had a bit of a childish mindset. Whenever she didn’t say what he wanted to hear, he got upset. But why should she care if he was upset? “Garrison, if you really don’t want to annoy me, my advice is to stay away.” 

Garrison looked at Samantha and said, “Do you know how many women want me to follow them around? Yet here you are, not only pushing me away but also being so dismissive.” 

If Garrison was so popular, why didn’t he go follow those other women? Why was he bothering her? Wasn’t that just utterly ridiculous?! Samantha scoffed and couldn’t be bothered to entertain him anymore. Turning to leave, she warned. “Stop following me.” 

“By the way,” she added after a pause. “I’m not like those girls you mentioned. They might want you to follow them, but I don’t. So, just drop it.”
