Upon hearing Finley’s words, Samantha’s lips curved into a smile. “So, is the winning bidder Noah?” 

“Hmm.” 

“Perfect. We can squeeze fifty billion out of him.” 

Finley fell silent for a moment. “Sam, fifty billion isn’t much to me. If you want, I can give it to you right.

But receiving fifty billion from Finley didn’t carry the same satisfaction as tricking Noah into giving it away, especially since the target was Noah. The thought made Samantha’s heart race with a sense of vindictive pleasure. She nestled closer to Finley and whispered, “Finley, it’s not about the money. What I truly desire is to see Noah utterly bankrupt. Of course, if we can manage to trick him out of fifty billion before that happens, it’s even better. Fifty billion might be a trifling amount to you, but to others, it is a staggering fortune. For instance, to Noah, this sum is enormous. So, we must ensure he loses everything, that he is left with nothing.” 

Finley watched her with growing curiosity, wondering what could have happened between Sam and Noah to inspire such profound hatred–hatred so fierce that it demanded Noah’s complete ruin. 

“Alright,” Finley said, his voice resolute. “I promise you. He’ll lose everything.”

He rose from his seat, retrieved the bid documents from the trash, and walked out with Samantha. As they emerged from the room, every eye turned toward Finley. 

Holding up the bid documents, Finley proclaimed, “The successful bidder is the Hunter Corporation. The winning bid stands at fifty billion. Congratulations to the Hunter Corporation for securing a partnership 

with the Holt Corporation” 

He extended his hand, and Noah eagerly clasped it. 

Excitedly, Noah asked, “Mr. Dean, since I’ve won the bid, could you now reveal the actual base price for this land?” 

“6.6 billion.” 

At Finley’s words, the smile on Noah’s face faltered and then vanished entirely.
