Samantha had previously assured Jacob with full confidence, but now, she wasn’t certain whether Sylvan would agree to sign with her. 

She could only tell him, “Mr. Moore, there might be some difficulty with Sylvan. How about finding another actor?” 

Jacob replied, “With my reputation, no popular star would be willing to take on the lead roles in this show.” 

“Then, why not cast some newcomers?” Samantha suggested. 

“Newcomers don’t have the acting chops,” Jacob said, frustrated. “The show I’m shooting needs actors with both star power and talent. Without that, it won’t get any recognition, let alone awards. No one would even watch it. So, Ms. Wallace, can you think of another solution?” 

What solution could I possibly offer him? 

Samantha took a deep breath. “Mr. Moore, I’ll try my best.” 

“Ms. Wallace, that’s not what you promised before. I remember you confidently assured me you’d get me a male lead. You also persuaded me to accept Sylvan in the first place when I was unsure. Now that I’ve agreed, you’re telling me we need to replace him? That’s not fair.” 

If I can avoid this situation, I certainly will. However, if Sylvan refuses to sign with me, I can’t force him to. What would be the point of pushing him into something he doesn’t want? 

Rubbing her temples, Samantha said, “Mr. Moore, some things simply can’t be forced. If Sylvan genuinely doesn’t want to sign with me, there’s no point in pushing it. How about this–my company is currently in talks with some actors who were once very popular but fell out of favor due to being sabotaged by others. Once we secure a contract with any of them, you can freely choose your leads from among my roster. What do 

you think?” 

Jacob’s expression tightened on the other end of the line. Signing those who have once been stars but are taken down by scandals? Ms. Wallace, you’re indeed unconventional. 

Most companies focused on nurturing new talent, but Samantha had completely flipped the script. 

She wasn’t interested in newcomers. Instead, she was gathering actors who had once made mistakes and were forced to leave the entertainment industry, aiming to help them make a comeback. 

Jacob couldn’t help but be curious. How could Samantha be so certain that the actors she’s bringing back are all innocent victims of circumstance rather than actually guilty? Young people’s mindsets these days are truly hard to figure out.
