The Peremptory Casey Davies novel Chapter 862

In an Eastern restaurant.

Both Casey and Thomas were sitting at a table in a corner. There were a few cold dishes and a pot of tea on the table.

Casey took a look at Thomas and asked, "May I know what you want to talk about?"

As the Lord of the Pantheon, Thomas didn't put on airs at all. Although he was a powerful expert in fighting, he was nice to Casey, as if he were an ordinary kind senior citizen.

He ate a mouthful of food, and then asked, "How much do you think you know about this world?"

Thomas asked such a profound question soon after they began to talk, so Casey didn't know how to answer for a while. But he did have thought about similar questions recently.

Since he got to know something about sublimation, he had realized that the world was more complicated than he had thought. It was just like a river. On the surface, it seemed to be calm. However, there were actually hidden drifts that Casey couldn't imagine.

Take the evil skills the people of the Duncan family practiced as an example. If it were in the past, Casey would only care about the development of the company and it would be impossible for him to think about the evil skills.

"I don't know much about this world. How much do you know about this world?" Casey asked.

Thomas smiled and said, "You have been a master in half sublimation, and the skills you master are so powerful that ordinary people will consider them to be specific to gods. Therefore, you should have realized that the world is far more complicated than you have thought before."

"As a matter of fact, there are many people who are practicing evil skills in the world, just like the people of the Duncan family. There are even some people who have mastered mystical skills and some wonderful tricks that you can't even imagine."

"For people who have this kind of power, they easily could cause a tremendous impact on the secular society. Take the head of the Duncan family as an example. If he had intended to harm ordinary people with this kind of power, he will bring a great disaster to the secular world."

"And we, people of the Pantheon, aim at maintaining the order of the world. If anyone does something bad with this kind of extraordinary power, we will take action."

Hearing that, Casey nodded. He finally understood why Executor was s subordinate organization of the Pantheon. Executors dealt with the matters related to the inner force experts while the people of the Pantheon handled the matters involving masters who were at least in Grandmaster Circle and people who had mastered mystical skills.

"Take an example of the fight between you and the head of the Duncan family. In the fight, the power you two exerted has been far beyond the imagination of ordinary people. When such a thing happens, we will guide the public and make them believe that it's just a special visual effect made by someone, so that we can cover the fact that there are such powerful people in the world. It's impossible to explain such a fact."

"If there are some people who have watched you attack the head of the Duncan family with the discernible blade you made with your power, other people won't believe them after they are guided by us. And as a result, those people will have doubts about what they saw themselves. We can do this without being noticed."

"Therefore, there are always all kinds of legends in the secular society. When these legends are spread, they become more and more outrageous. Certainly, some people firmly believe that they have seen ghosts or Immortals. And some people will even spend their lives on trying to find the truth. However, there are only a few of them, and they won't have an impact on the public's opinion."

"This world is far more dangerous than you have thought. It seems to be in peace, but there are great risks behind it."

After hearing what he said, Casey nodded to show his approval, and then asked, "So do you come to me because you want to ask me to be a member of the Pantheon and maintain the order of the world?"

Thomas smiled and said, "We'll indeed invite anyone who is powerful and has potential to join us. After all, people who are stronger are supposed to bear greater responsibilities. And we'll provide them with better conditions for making progress in return. We're just helping each other."
