Seven days had passed, and Yang Xiaobei’s disappearance had caused a lot of commotion in Yan Jing.
Many of the big shots in Yan Jing and Jinmen were alarmed.
They sent their underlings to search for her.
This was especially because Young Master Chen was not around.
Although they had their suspicions, they could not find even the slightest lead after investigating.
It was as if she had disappeared into thin air.
Guo Caifeng had thought of contacting the Chen family in the southern region.
However, Xiaobei was the one with all the contacts, and nobody else knew how to contact them.
Seven days had passed, and it was still uncertain whether Xiaobei was dead or alive. In an instant, Guo Caifeng had become a lot more haggard.
Today, the Yang family gathered to discuss their strategy in finding Xiaobei.
It could be said that this was a more serious meeting.
Other than Guo Caifeng who was crying, everybody else lowered their heads and didn’t utter a single word.
As for Yang Ye, he and Guo Ru secretly looked at each other and smiled.
This plan was carried out seamlessly. With the Long family’s help, even if somebody suspected them, nothing could possibly happen to them.
They could investigate, but they wouldn’t be able to dig up dirt on them.
Suddenly, a servant ran over in a hurry.
“Madam, the chairman and Young Master Chen are back!” the servant said excitedly.
“What? Chen Hao is back?”
Guo Caifeng stood up immediately and rushed out of there.
The remaining people all went out to welcome them.
“Mom and Chen Hao are back!”
Yang Ye swallowed his saliva, and his whole body began to shiver.
“Don’t be afraid. What are you scared of? So what if he’s back?” Guo Ru reminded him gently.
This helped Yang Ye solidify his conviction.
Chen Hao supported Grandma out of the car.
Grandma was old, and she had spent eight days with him. She was very tired.
At that moment, they saw a group of people come out to welcome them, and Chen Hao was just about to greet them.
“Chen Hao, you’re back. That’s great! Xiaobei will be saved!”
Guo Caifeng ran over recklessly, and she grabbed Chen Hao’s arm.
“Aunt Caifeng, what do you mean by ‘Xiaobei will be saved’? What happened?” Chen Hao asked.
“Yes. Caifeng, speak slowly. What happened?” Madame Yang asked too.
“Xiaobei, s-she has been missing for seven days. We looked everywhere, but we couldn’t find her!”
“Missing?” Chen Hao was stunned.
He never thought that over the eight days that he was away with Grandma, something would actually happen to Xiaobei.
“What happened actually?” Chen Hao asked nervously.
His relationship with Xiaobei and her family was different from the rest.
Chen Hao was very worried.
So, Guo Caifeng told him everything that had happened.
“Does somebody want to hurt Xiaobei? Xiaobei is such a good girl, and she has never offended anybody. Who would anyone want to hurt our Xiaobei?” Guo Caifeng asked.
“Aunt Caifeng, don’t be pessimistic. I’ll send people to investigate now, so don’t worry. No matter who it is, as long as they touch even a single strand of Xiaobei’s hair, I will make sure the whole family wish they were never born!”
As soon as Chen Hao finished speaking, he helped Grandma into the Yang family home.
“Mom, what do we do?”
Yang Ye glanced at Chen Hao and felt so anxious that his eyes turned red. His reaction wasn’t what they had expected, and he felt terrified.
Initially, Guo Ru and Yang Ye felt that Chen Hao might be rich, but he was soft-hearted. If Xiaobei was in trouble, they thought he would just be dejected and anxious, sending people to search for her.
But Guo Ru and Yang Ye had never ever thought that Chen Hao was actually this fierce.
