The President’s Mistake A Tale of Love and Regret novel Chapter 13

Freya wanted to break free from Nathaniel's grip, but his was so strong that her wrist might be broken.

She did not want to stay here—not even for a second. She did not want to face him alone.

Blood oozed from the needle hole on the back of her hand. He let go of her hands and snorted, "Freya, don't you think that I'll pity you seeing you like this; I won't let you off the hook."

"I intended to let you go three years ago, but you're the one that ran into me right now."

"So, how do you feel about playing this kind of trick to get my attention?" "Isn't it ridiculous?"

She moved her lips, and she looked at him in disbelief.

He thinks that I'm playing tricks?

She smiled bitterly. All she wanted to do was avoid him at all costs.

She took a deep breath; her head hurt like hell. She calmed herself down and got off the sofa bed without looking at him.

She walked past him in the direction of the door. Before she could reach the door, he grabbed her by the arm and threw her in front of her.

He dragged her with all his force; he was extremely furious.

She was thrown and tumbled on his knees; Nathaniel grabbed her chin and forced her to look at him.

Her eyes were beautiful and mesmerizing, but she did not look innocent and happy like before. She was in despair now.

He took a deep breath and leaned into her ear; he did not want to clarify things because it would be pretty useless to do so.

But he was almost driven crazy by the woman in front of him.

"Do you hate me that much?"

She stared at him without saying anything.

He sneered, "It seems like you didn't grow much after three years... If you want to hate me, just be it."

He gritted his teeth and tightened his grip on her chin. "Your father is the murderer of my family! So you should be paying for his sin!"

She was stunned; she roughly knew that the Gomez family had wronged the Morgan family before she was sent to jail by him. But she did not know those specific details.

And now, he told her that her father caused the deaths of his family. She was slightly shaken by this fact, and she felt even more helpless than before.

If she had known the truth three years ago, she might have been heartbroken since she loved him. But now, all she felt was numbness.

She looked at him and said, "Peyton told me that..."

He raised an eyebrow at her sudden change of topic.

She paused and said, "I was in prison when she told me about it..."

"My dad jumped from the twenty-eighth floor; his body was dismantled and mashed into pieces." "The forensic medical expert had to shovel his body up little by little."

His face changed drastically; it seemed like she was telling a story about a stranger. Her cold tone could even intimidate someone as cold-hearted as him.

"Peyton brought my dad's corpse back after all of the legal procedures; his corpse was cremated hastily."

"He was dominating in the business industry for more than twenty years in Saeville; everyone respected him when he was alive." "And he died as a smashed pile of meat."

"Nathaniel Morgan… Whatever the Gomez family owed you, he had paid it off."

"Ha…" Suddenly she chuckled; this was the first time she smiled after she was released from jail. But he felt terrified looking at her and her smile.

She slowly raised her hand and touched his eyebrows. Three years had passed, and he was still looking unbelievably handsome.

"Nathaniel… don't tell me that you seriously fall in love with me?"

His breathing was getting faster, and his hands were shaking on the sides of his body.

She grinned even more, and he felt scared looking at her bright smile when she was in this miserable state.

It's so funny that the predator falls in love with me.
