Chapter 193 No Chance Given
Jenny’s denial ignited a fury in Nathaniel like none other.
He surged to his feet, his hands sweeping the files from his desk in a fit of rage, sending them flying towards her. Jenny trembled, her eyes darting towards George.
George was equally terrified. He had never witnessed Nathaniel in such a state of fury.
Despite his fear, George managed to suppress his terror, forcing a placating smile onto his face. “Ms. Morgan…”
“Silence!” Nathaniel’s voice thundered, his glare fixed on George, the man he considered a traitor.
George had once betrayed Killian, and Nathaniel was certain he could betray him too.
Nathaniel had been contemplating dismissing George for a while, but he had never found a justifiable
reason.
Now, he simply wanted the traitor as far from him as possible.
Nathaniel pointed at George. “Hudson! Relieve him of his duties as HR manager immediately!”
Nathaniel’s decision left both George and Jenny stunned.
George was on the verge of tears. “Mr. Morgan, Jenny was deceived. She was manipulated by the Lloyd. family. You can punish her legally.”
George, a seasoned veteran in the industry, knew his niece was beyond saving. It was better to sever ties while he could.
He was well aware of Jenny’s ambitions- a wealthy husband, nothing more. But Nathaniel’s heart. belonged to Abigail and this mysterious Ms. Gomez.
His niece was clearly out of Nathaniel’s league. Despite his years of service, and even his role in Killian’s suicide, George remained an HR manager. He was not part of the company’s core board members, and. even Hudson held a higher position than him.
His resentment was palpable, until an unexpected opportunity arose.
His niece had a chance encounter with Mr. Lloyd, who had even escorted her home. This sparked an idea in George.
The news from the auction had left both him and Jenny dumbfounded. He had not anticipated Freya’s cunning move.
Freya, who always appeared disheveled and disoriented, was thought to have lost her sanity in prison. No one expected her to harbor such a ruthless streak.
It was then they realized that Freya Gomez was a woman who would stop at nothing.

computer. They felt utterly betrayed.
Freya was nonchalantly sipping her glass of milk then It was empty, and she was dabbing her mouth. with a napkin, reapplying her lipstick.
To her, office politics were nothing more than a circus show.
George took a deep breath. He gently pushed Jenny aside, bowing submissively to Nathaniel. “Mr. Morgan, I share the blame. I hired Jenny, and I deeply regret that.”
“Jenny made a mistake, and she deserves to face the consequences. That’s only fair.”
Jenny stared at her uncle in disbelief, her composure crumbling.
