Meanwhile, Blake, a third-generation Norwich, had arrived at Bellington under the protection of many bodyguards.
However, he clearly hadn't realized how serious the problem was. He was taking his own sweet time and even felt upset.
"Those guys only know how to order me around! Why didn't they come here themselves? It's such a long journey, and I'm so exhausted after traveling the whole night!" As he sat in his car, he started cursing in frustration.
Meanwhile, his assistant, Jerry Wurth, was in the passenger seat. Jerry said with a smile, "Mr. Norwich, your family has high hopes for you. Otherwise, why didn't they summon someone else?
"Our trip to Bellington this time is also a great opportunity for you. If you complete your task well, no one will dare to call you a freeloader anymore."
Upon hearing that, Blake felt happier. From what he could tell, he was just there to deal with some stranger who was receiving their family's shares for no reason. To him, it wasn't a big deal at all. After all, he was a powerful man who had never suffered in his life before.
"I can definitely complete my task. After all, it's just a poor bastard who has gotten lucky for some reason. I can't believe he would be bold enough to touch the Norwichs' wealth!
"Now, I'm starting to wonder if Mr. Norwich Senior has completely lost it. It's either that, or he has a huge grudge against this guy. Otherwise, why would he send this man to his death?" Blake wondered out loud.
"Those back at home even said we should just give him some money to get rid of him. How ridiculous! Why shouldn't I use the money to pamper my girlfriend instead?"
