The price of betrayal (Jack and Ashley) novel Chapter 108

Megan and Blake didn't talk much about anything else in the car. Instead, they just had some small talk. She had to admit that he was a sweet talker and made her feel happy.

However, it wasn't clear why she felt that way. After all, if he wasn't the heir of the Norwich family, then he wouldn't be worthy to be sitting next to her, let alone chatting with her so happily.

Soon, they arrived at Megan Corporation, and Jeanne was already waiting at the entrance. When she saw Megan coming out of Blake's car, she was stunned for a moment. Then, when she saw how Blake looked, she was even more stunned.

However, she was a smart woman. When she saw how happy Megan looked, she immediately figured out that Blake wasn't as simple as he seemed.

"Who's this, Ms. Turner?" she asked after approaching Megan.

The latter said with a smile, "This is Mr. Blake Norwich of Norwich Group."

When Jeanne heard that, her eyes lit up. Hearing that Blake was from Norwich Group, she was on cloud nine. She looked at him with a passionate gaze and nodded with a smile.

"Hi, Mr. Blake. I'm Ms. Turner's assistant, Jeanne Fisher. If you need anything, feel free to let me know."

Blake looked at her and said with a smile, "What a gorgeous assistant! As expected from a beautiful CEO!"

His eyes lit up for a split second. Although he said that, he lost interest immediately.

He had seen too many gorgeous ladies in his life. However, it was extremely difficult to catch his attention.

He was only interested in Megan because of her cold attitude toward him at the hospital. Otherwise, he wouldn't have gone through so much trouble.

However, when Jeanne saw him, she was acting passionately right away. The gaze she had was almost the same as the other ladies he had come across in the past. That was what made him lose interest in her right away.

Jeanne also could tell how cold his gaze was, and she felt hurt for a moment. When she noticed how passionate he looked when he had his eyes on Megan, she was jealous. In fact, she gritted her teeth in anger.
