When Nolan saw Jerry slamming the table, he said in a deep voice, "Apologize to my table."
When the latter heard that, he was stunned. He looked at his bodyguards before looking at Nolan again, feeling speechless. Then, he wondered if there was something wrong with Nolan.
The table was fine, and there wasn't even a single scratch on it. Even if he managed to destroy the table, there was no reason for him to apologize to it at all.
Jerry scoffed angrily and coldly looked at Nolan. "Brat, not only are you calling me an idiot, but you're also messing with me now, huh? Why would I apologize to your table? Are you expecting me to apologize to you if I slap you now?
"Are you having trouble figuring out the situation now? Do you really not know the trouble you're in right now? Do you have a death wish or something?"
Nolan kept quiet as he glanced up at Jerry. Then, he calmly said, "Aren't you an idiot? Otherwise, why would you say something so dumb like buying the shares I have with just a million dollars? Are you sure there's nothing wrong with your brain? After all, you can't even do simple mathematics."
Then, he explained, "Let me do the calculations for you. The shares Mr. Norwich Senior has left me are worth hundreds of billions. However, you made it sound like the million dollars was a great deal for me. Aren't you the one messing with me here?
"Besides, Mr. Norwich Senior didn't just leave me his shares. He also let me have all the rights to manage Norwich Group and the whole Norwich family. These can't even compare to the shares I have now. So, don't you think you're an idiot now?"
Of course, anyone could do the calculations. If Jerry really were that dumb, Blake wouldn't have kept him anymore. However, that wasn't how they were going to do things.
Jerry looked at Nolan and shook his head with a smile.
"No way, brat. You've got it wrong. At least, there's something wrong with your calculations, and you've got the situation wrong.
"The money is important, and your shares are indeed worth that much. However, you need to be alive to spend that money. If you were to die, would the wealth still matter?
