At that moment, Jeanne felt humiliated and was filled with anger.
Megan found Blake disgusting and even threw his cup away. However, she said she would dress Jeanne up and introduce the latter to him instead.
Then, she even said Jeanne might not be able to leave a deep impression on Blake's mind.
So, Megan was clearly looking down on Jeanne, thinking that she had to dress up just to get close to Blake. Not only that, but Megan also thought it would just be a fling.
She might be a bully, but there had never been a bully like her before. Megan was going too far.
However, it wouldn't be the first time for her. Although she seemed to be besties with Jeanne, their relationship had deteriorated since Megan's climb in the ranks in society. So, Jeanna could do nothing about it other than suppress her anger.
"You've misunderstood me, Megan. I just thought that we shouldn't offend him because he was from the Norwich family. I have nothing else in mind."
Megan continued to look at her and scoffed. "That'd better be the case. However, it doesn't matter if it was a misunderstanding. You've been single for so long now. Is there really no one who's interested in you, or are your standards too high? You should have a clear answer to that.
"I know you've been competing with me all this time and think you're better than me. However, you just can't compare to me at all, so I bet you're upset about it, right? Do you dream of replacing me one day as well?"
Upon saying that, Megan stood up and approached Jeanne. She was going all out at that moment.
When Jeanne heard what Megan had said, fear filled her gaze, and she hurriedly shook her head. "You've misunderstood me, Megan. That's not true at all!"
