The price of betrayal (Jack and Ashley) novel Chapter 115

Jeanne nodded and hurriedly left Megan's office. After leaving the room, her gaze turned cold. Clearly, she was taking everything that had happened personally.

Meanwhile, Blake followed Jerry to Nolan's house. While they were in the car, he was still upset about Jerry's performance, and the latter felt aggrieved. In fact, Jerry felt so aggrieved that he started crying right away as he looked at Blake.

"Mr. Norwich, you know me the best. I would do anything for you, even if it cost my life! However, that Nolan guy really is evil. He even poisoned us! Most importantly, we didn't even know what kind of poison it was.

"You have no idea, Mr. Norwich. All I did was slap his table, and he actually forced me to apologize to it! Mr. Norwich, I've never felt so humiliated before. I don't even feel like living now!"

Jerry bawled his eyes out, not caring about his image anymore. He poured out his heart as he told Blake what happened, especially when he described how terrifying Nolan was.

When Blake heard what Jerry said, he was stunned. "Are you serious? Did he really poison all of you without you realizing it? Also, was the poison really that bad that you would rather die? He also forced you to apologize to a table, huh?"

With that thought in mind, he looked slightly amused.

Jerry felt terrible, and he nodded. "Mr. Norwich, I swear I'm telling you the truth. The four men that followed me were there too."

Then, he hesitated for a while before looking at Blake again. "Mr. Norwich, are you really going to see him? Why don't you forget about it and tell the bodyguards to go instead? We can plan our next move after they've beat him up. After all, it'll be bad if you're poisoned as well."
