The price of betrayal (Jack and Ashley) novel Chapter 120

"I don't know if I can trust you. However, I'm willing to give it a try for Grandpa. Don't let me find out that you're lying, Nolan. Otherwise, I'll never let you go," Blake said as he made his own decision and followed his heart.

Nolan smiled faintly and nodded. "Alright. In that case, enjoy yourselves here for a few days and go home after that.

"Keep a low profile. When I'm free, I'll personally visit the Norwichs and handle it once and for all. You have one job, and that is to dig up every dirt the Norwichs have on them."

Blake hesitated for a moment and asked, "How are you going to deal with the Norwich family?"

Nolan's gaze turned cold a little as he said softly, "If there's mercy to be shown, I'll do that. However, some people aren't worth saving. So, I'll have no choice but to let them get punished. After all, I'll try my best not to kill any one of Mr. Norwich Senior's descendants."

When he said that, Blake felt a terrifying killing intent in the room.

Nolan's words showed Blake that Nolan was no ordinary person at all. Since he said that he would spare a life if he could, it meant that he wouldn't even bat an eye when killing someone. A person like that wasn't a pushover at all!

Taking a deep breath, Blake stood up and asked, "How did you know about my sickness, Mr. Greene?"

Nolan smiled subtly. "I'm an expert in poisoning, right? Poisoning a person requires medical skills, and I'm great at it too. So, from the moment you entered the room, I could immediately tell what was wrong with your body. After all, you didn't just get sick recently, so it was easy for me to tell."
