No one could ever fathom what Nolan wanted to do and the peak he was aiming for. That was the true height of the world!
Unfortunately, the woman who could stand on top of the world with him wasn't worthy of it anymore.
Meanwhile, Megan still had no idea what she was missing out on. At that moment, she was in her office, entertaining a special guest.
If Nolan were there, he would immediately recognize the guest. It was not a stranger at all. In fact, it was Audrey's cousin, Kara, who disliked him a lot.
Seeing how uneasy Kara looked, Megan smiled, "Hey, Megan, do you remember how we used to play together with Audrey in the back? You don't have to be so uptight with me here. Just treat this place as your home!"
When Kara noticed how Megan was as friendly as ever, she immediately smiled.
"I can't do that, Mrgan. After all, you're a CEO that's worth 100 million now. You've even become a legend in Bellington's business world by building your company from the ground up. I'm too scared to be rude here! Besides, you have no idea how most of my classmates and friends adore you like I do!"
As Kara spoke, her eyes lit up, and it didn't seem like she was lying.
However, it made sense as well. To a young adult like her, being able to build a miraculous company from scratch was a legendary feat. There was no way they would be amazed by that. Not only that, but Megan was also gorgeous and gentle.
Megan smiled at Kara and said, "Alright, that's enough. Stop flattering me, Kara. If Audrey finds out about it, she'll be upset again.
"I'm not on the same path as her anymore. She'll always misunderstand me, and there's nothing I can do about it. After all, I did try to explain myself to her."
