Kara reached her head toward Audrey so that the latter could slap her. She was unwilling to back down, and she wasn't holding back with her words.
"Even if you kill me today, I'll never let you be with Nolan. He's just a terrible man. Otherwise, why would he be with you right after his marriage with Megan ended?
"Do you seriously think this is love? If so, isn't his love a little too cheap? What kind of love is this if he can be with whoever he wants at any time?
"Audrey, not only am I upset for Megan, but I also don't want you to get hurt. You've been tricked by him, and you have to stop being so dumb!"
Kara was acting as if she really knew everything about Audrey. Seeing how persistent she was, Audrey didn't know what to do anymore.
Feeling helpless, Audrey had no choice but to say, "You're still young, Kara, and there's a lot of things that you don't know yet. What you've learned now might not be the whole truth, so please drop it, alright?
"All I can tell you now is that Nolan isn't the bad guy. In fact, he's the kindest and the most loyal guy in the world. I don't care what you've heard about him, but it's not true at all. So, please trust me, okay?"
In Audrey's heart, Nolan was the best person in the world. In reality, he really didn't do anything wrong, and he had always been helpful to other people. Even when it came to Megan, Audrey, or anything else, he had always been a nice guy.
At the very least, he was definitely not the shameless man Kara was making him to be. However, Kara didn't know that at all. Instead, she just glared at Audrey.
"Audrey, I'm not a kid anymore, and I can see the truth for myself. Nolan isn't a good person at all. If he's really that great, why did he seduce you? After all, he knows you're best friends with Megan.
"However, because of him, you two have become enemies. What kind of good person does that?
