"How dare that bastard threaten me!" Archie said as he flung an ashtray onto the ground, his face distorted in anger.
When Lincoln heard the noise in the room, he hurriedly rushed in. "What happened, Mr. Baxter?"
Archie told him everything that had happened.
Lincoln was shocked and frowned deeply. "I can't believe Mr. Thompson said that he would mess with Mr. Lynch. It looks like there's going to be trouble."
Archie said through gritted teeth, "Nolan has saved Mr. Baxter Senior before, and we might need his help again in the future. However, we can't do anything about this for now. What do you think we should do, Lincoln?"
Archie was a loyal man. Since Nolan had saved Charles before, he couldn't ignore the danger Nolan was in.
Besides, Nolan was a powerful man as well. By being his friend, Archie knew that he could benefit greatly from the friendship. If Nolan died just like that, it would be devastating.
When Lincoln heard the question, he said solemnly, "We can't offend Mr. Lynch, Mr. Baxter. You know how cruel he can be. If we became his enemy, he'd never let us go. Then, the Baxter family will be in danger.
"However, it's not like we can't do anything at all. Sir Carter owes Nolan a favor, right? Let's tell him about this so that he can pass the message. There might be a chance for things to turn around. After all, Mr. Lynch will respect Sir Carter, right?"
