The price of betrayal (Jack and Ashley) novel Chapter 135

Lincoln executed Archie's orders right away, and Archie was left in the study room by himself once more. His face still looked distorted among the smoke, and his gaze was filled with determination.

He muttered to himself, "Even Sir Carter has to respect Nolan. Not only does Nolan have incredible medical skills, but he also has some devastating tricks up his sleeves. A man like that won't go down so easily. I bet he can definitely survive this!"

Meanwhile, Nolan was still playing dice with Kitty back at the bar.

He had an idea of what Kara was planning. However, he still didn't have a single clue about the Thompsons working with Gregory to take him out.

Even if he did know about it, all he could do was admit that he had underestimated the Thompson family. Not only were they not giving up, but they even found someone as great as Gregory.

However, it didn't matter. If Nolan couldn't protect himself, he would've died in prison a long time ago, instead of achieving the incredible feats that he had so far.

He looked at Kitty, who seemed to be in a daze after drinking nine glasses of beer in a row. He smiled and said, "Why don't we forget about this and stop playing? Lady luck isn't with you today."

Kitty wondered if she had back luck that day. At that moment, she was obsessed over the dice like an addicted gambler who was anxious over multiple losses.

They played for nine rounds, and Nolan won every time. Even if it was just a game of probability, she had never seen a game like that before.

Kitty said angrily through gritted teeth, "I dare you to go big this round, Nolan. If I win, you'll have to drink nine glasses right away. Then, you'll have to go strip dancing on the stage."

When Dipsy heard that, she was shocked. She hurriedly pulled Kitty back and said, "Kitty, you're drunk. You should stop right now."
