At that moment, Tristan had to make the call. Nolan was so calm that no one would think that he didn't know Lincoln at all.
Hunter noticed something was wrong by looking at Tristan's reaction. So, he hurriedly said through gritted teeth, "Don't believe him, Tristan. He's full of lies and pretense. I'm sure he's lying to you to mess with you.
"He's doing it to find an excuse to get out of here. The others don't know much about him, but I do! He's just a small-time thug who has just gotten out of prison.
"Although he's a great fighter, he's just a nobody. I'm sure of it! There's no way he would know Lincoln. Even if he does, he probably heard of the name in the prison. Even if they know each other, I'm sure they're not close at all. If you call Lincoln at this hour, he's going to be mad!"
What he had said did make sense. Lincoln cared about his sleeping hours most of the time, and no one would disturb him that late.
However, Nolan looked too calm to Tristan.
He said solemnly to Hunter, "How could you be so sure? If he really has a close relationship with Lincoln and we ended up beating the wrong person, are you going to be responsible for it?"
Hunter gritted his teeth and bit the bullet. "I can take the blame. I'm sure that he's just making things up."
When Tristan heard that, he kicked Hunter and said angrily, "You want to take the blame, huh? How the hell do you think you are? Can you really be responsible for this? Tell me why you're so sure now. Otherwise, even if he doesn't beat you up, I'll teach you a painful lesson myself."
At that moment, he was incredibly frustrated. After all, he was involved in something messy for no reason.
Hunter hurriedly pointed at Kara and said, "She's Kara from the Weiss family. This guy is dating his cousin right now, so she knows him the best. There's no way my information is false."
