The price of betrayal (Jack and Ashley) novel Chapter 145

Tristan gritted his teeth and decided to call Lincoln in the end. Otherwise, if Nolan was telling the truth and really knew Lincoln, the consequences would be dire.

When the call connected, Tristan put on a flattering smile and said, "Hi, Lincoln. This is Tristan. That's right! I'm not interrupting you from resting, am I? Actually, I have something to report to you."

He immediately told Lincoln what was happening and mentioned Nolan's name.

Lincoln immediately spoke louder, and most of the people there could hear him. "What? Nolan's with you now? Hurry up and pass the phone to Mr. Greene!"

At that moment, Lincoln didn't need to say anything else. From the way he called Nolan "Mr. Greene", Tristan had gotten all the answers he needed.

He gulped and carefully passed the phone to Nolan with a smile. "Mr. Greene, Lincoln wishes to speak with you."

Everyone at the scene noticed the change in his attitude, and they all knew what the outcome would be.

Meanwhile, Hunter sat on the ground and looked miserable. He was certain about what would happen to him next.

Nolan still looked nonchalant when he grabbed the phone while still remaining seated. As for Tristan, he just stood there respectfully with a smile.

Nolan held the phone to his ear. "Hey, Lincoln. Yeah, it's Nolan."

Lincoln sounded anxious on the other side of the call. "Please wait there, Mr. Greene. I'll be there right now. Something has happened, and someone's going to kill you!"
