The price of betrayal (Jack and Ashley) novel Chapter 153

"If it weren't for them holding guns to protect me, you'd already be dead meat. Do you believe that?" the three men said.

Hearing this, Nolan sighed lightly and said, "Perhaps, but the fact is that I'm still alive. And, you know, I don't have the best temper. Lately, it's been one nuisance after another, and it's been really getting on my nerves.

"I've been wondering why so many people keep bothering me. Now, I understand. It's because none of you know just how bad my temper can be, or that I am in fact capable of killing as well.

"So, perhaps if I kill a few people and let everyone know about my temper, I might have less nuisances to deal with. Since you guys were sent here today, then don't bother leaving."

With that, Nolan picked up a fallen dagger from the ground and blew on it lightly. The blade gleamed coldly, looking sharp and lethal.

Nolan sighed, then without any further delay, he rushed toward the three men. In a flash, he slashed the throats of each of them.

With one fatal blow, with ruthless precision and efficiency, Nolan slit their throats.

In that final moment, the three skilled men looked at Nolan, an inexplicable anger and trace of terror shown in their eyes.

Others might not realize it, but the three men did. Just from that one swift move, they could tell Nolan was an incredibly skilled fighter. Otherwise, it was impossible to take three lives in just a single fluid motion.

They realized that even without Lincoln’s interference, it would have been extremely difficult to kill Nolan. It was no wonder Nolan had remained so calm all along. He turned out to be this powerful.

These were the three assassins final thoughts before they slowly collapsed, sinking into eternal darkness.

The spectacle left everyone present flabbergasted. No one had expected that, in the end, Nolan would be the one to strike.
