Shaun asked Archie but received no clear response. However, he was determined not to give up. When he found out that Nolan had gone to the Baxter residence and saw Archie headed to his room to rest, Shaun quickly made his way to the warehouse.
Then he saw Robert's pitiful condition, and Shaun recoiled in disgust. It was unlike anything he had ever witnessed before, and he couldn't hold down the contents in his stomach. The sight alone made him vomit instantly.
Lincoln's brows furrowed as he turned to Shaun. "This isn't a place for you. You should head back and get some rest. It's getting late."
The Baxters had always favored Shaun as their heir. Due to the Baxter family's special background, Shaun had many dealings with the underworld, which was to be expected.
Shaun gestured toward the man lying on the ground and turned to Lincoln, "Lincoln, do you know who this is? He looked terrible."
Lincoln's voice remained indifferent as he said, "It's Robert. He made a mistake, and now the Baxter family is at risk because of it. These are the consequences he should face. You don't need to take care of these things. Please, go back."
Upon hearing this, Shaun shook his head. "Lincoln, I cannot leave. As a part of the Baxters, it is my right to know the truth and assist the Baxter family in solving the problems.
"I'm not a kid anymore, Lincoln. Just tell me what went down. Who knows, maybe I'll be able to help.
"Moreover, not only have I seen the unusual transfer of the Baxters, but others have as well. As a result, people are feeling uneasy. If I had more information about the situation, I could provide some reassurance to those affected."
After hearing this, Lincoln paused briefly before nodding. "You have grown, and it's time for you to take a more active role in certain matters. So, I will tell you who is currently lying on the ground. Robert, you know him. It's him."
When those words were spoken, Shaun's eyes immediately widened. Of course, he knew Robert. But, how could someone become like this?
