Audrey then proceeded to recount every detail of her infatuation with Nolan, describing the pain she endured and how she waited for him to come back. She even shared how Nolan took care of the Thompson family for her sake.
Audrey finished speaking and sighed. She turned to Kara and asked, "After hearing all of this, do you still believe that Nolan is a liar and a bad person? Or do you also think that your own sister is a bad person?"
Kara was struck silent by Audrey's words. She realized she didn't know much at all. Upon hearing Audrey's story, Kara also felt the weight of the struggles Audrey had faced in recent years. But despite that understanding, Kara couldn't bring herself to feel sorry for Nolan.
"So, Nolan was aware that you had feelings for him, but he didn't acknowledge them. It wasn't until after Megan divorced him that he reached out to you, correct?
"What else could this be, if not a liar? He is not just a liar but also a leech, living off of women. All they do is seek out someone to fall back on.
"Audrey, it's even more impossible for me to let you be with Nolan. He's not a good person, and he doesn't truly care for you. He's just taking advantage of you and treating you poorly."
Audrey was speechless. She looked at Kara, letting out a sigh before saying, "Fine, fine. Whatever you say. But please don't get involved in my relationship with Nolan. I like him and it's my personal matter. Are we clear?"
Kara noticed Audrey's disinterest in paying attention to her. But she remained unyielding in her words.
"Regarding the Thompson family, Audrey, I will be honest with you. I strongly believe that even if you were to marry Mr. Thompson, it would still be better than staying with Nolan.
"It's okay for him to assist you in finding solutions. But I can't thank him because he lacks the capabilities to help truly. I am aware of the relationship between Lincoln and him, Audrey. You have been misled."
