The price of betrayal (Jack and Ashley) novel Chapter 173

For decades, Gregory has been the reigning figure of power in the Eastern State's underworld. However, it may be time for a power shift.

Nolan video-called Fang and saw that Fang was sleeping. He couldn't help but smile and said, "Myth Group will soon launch new products and become a global phenomenon. Fang, are you still able to sleep? I recall how you were always in competition with Lense."

Fang heard this and looked at Nolan, saying helplessly, "Although I am eager to compete, Mr. Greene, the Myth Group and Spirit of Life Serum that you provided are under Lense's control. This means that even if I have the desire to compete, I can't.

"It's quite late for you to be contacting me. Do you have any orders for me?"

Nolan nodded and said, "You know Mr. Lynch, right?"

Hearing Gregory's name caused an icy glint to flash in Fang's eyes as he responded, "Of course I know him. He's the notorious big boss of the Eastern State underworld. What do you plan to do about him? If you take action against him, count me in.

"I've been itching for a chance to take him down. Mr. Greene, just give the word, and my men and I will initiate a battle against him immediately.

"Don't worry. I may not have a lot of people on my side, but we don't lack elites. And if we really battle him, I can assure you he will suffer greatly."

From Fang's tone, Nolan believed that there was probably some animosity between Fang and Gregory. This was not surprising, considering they both made a living in the Eastern State underworld.

Fang's success would inevitably disrupt the established interests of many individuals. As the most powerful boss in the area, it was expected that Gregory would not sit back and watch without taking any action.

"You guys have a grudge?"

Fang's lips curved into a small smile as he spoke, "I wouldn't call it downright hatred. There were undoubtedly some tensions between us, but once Mr. Lynch saw that we weren't easy to push around, he backed off for a while.

"But he never forgot about us. He made threats and even sent people to harm some of my men. I've never forgotten that."
