The price of betrayal (Jack and Ashley) novel Chapter 185

Kara immediately thought Nolan was the one who had made Audrey cry. It wasn't all wrong though. In fact, Nolan was part of the reasons why Audrey felt so miserable.

Hearing that Kara wanted to go after Nolan, Audrey couldn't help but raise her head. With her eyes full of tears, she stared at Kara and said, "Don't look for Nolan. It had nothing to do with him."

Kara looked at Audrey angrily and replied, "Did you say it had nothing to do with him? Who else would make you cry like this other than him? Audrey, tell me what happened if you don't want me to look for Nolan."

Could Audrey tell Kara? Of course not.

Audrey looked at Kara and choked up as she said, "Kara, I can't be with Nolan anymore. Are you happy now? I'll never be with Nolan. I love him. I really love him. But I no longer have the chance."

Kara was overjoyed instantly when she heard that. Although she had no idea what had happened, she thought it wasn't a bad thing if Audrey could cut all ties with Nolan.

Of course, things didn't seem right. Kara couldn't show how happy she was, as she would hurt Audrey's feelings. Moreover, Audrey seemed like she was in so much pain now. Kara actually didn't feel good to see that.

"Audrey, why? Though I don't want you to be with Nolan, this is too sudden. You're crying so hard even. Did Nolan dump you?

"That jerk! I knew that he wasn't good. He's a liar! Audrey, tell me. What did he do to hurt you? Tell me."
