Audrey looked at Megan and asked darkly, "What are you planning?"
Megan chuckled lightly. "It's not about what I'm planning. It's about what you, Audrey, plan on doing. Even though I don't know why you made this decision, now that you have, you should act decisively. You shouldn't leave him any hope—make him feel despair instead.
"You don't have any more lingering feelings for the man you've cast aside, right?
"And as for the matter of the Crystal of Devotion, I think using that as an excuse would be quite fitting. A man who dared to gift fake jewelry should be publicly scorned. Let everyone know that you are not someone so easily deceived, and Nolan is just a big, fat liar who doesn't deserve anyone's pity.
"This is the only fitting outcome for him."
When Megan was done, she stared at Audrey coldly and asked, "Or are you just putting on an act and do not actually want to cut ties with Nolan? Is everything you're doing merely a ruse to buy time?"
Audrey frowned. If Megan saw it that way, then what about Shaun? Perhaps she really should do something to prove herself.
Otherwise, if Shaun decided not to protect Nolan, even if Nolan didn't die, he would surely be left crippled. Audrey could never let that happen. As long as she could ensure Nolan's safety, she was willing to do anything.
At that moment, Blake looked at everyone with a smile. "Excuse me, I need to go to the restroom."
Right away, he left and quickly dialed Nolan's number. With such an intense situation at hand, he had to contact Nolan directly. There was no way he wouldn't report it.
