Now that everyone had reached an agreement, Audrey's disapproval carried little weight. But she also thought this could be an opportunity for Shaun to witness things clearly and for Nolan to finally let go.
"Fine. Since you've all made up your minds, let's go with it."
Megan and Jeanne were ecstatic as they watched Audrey nod in agreement. Everything was now in place, and they just needed to reel in the bait.
On the day of Kara's birthday party, Nolan would be abandoned again and made a fool of. It was going to be the best thing ever.
Audrey got up slowly and looked around the room. "If there's nothing else, I'll be leaving."
Megan looked at her. "Audrey, I hope you understand what needs to be done here. Leaving Nolan isn't a bad thing, and being cruel to him isn't wrong either.
"I hope you'll wear the jewelry Nolan gave you during Kara's birthday party. Since we're going to be merciless, we might as well go all out. The Crystal of Devotion will make the perfect trigger."
Audrey nodded then turned to Kara. "Kara, are you leaving?"
However, Kara was reluctant. "Nope. I want to stay and continue chatting with Megan. Besides, I need to deliver the invitation letter later."
Audrey merely nodded in response and turned to leave, her eyes glistening as soon as she did.
Meanwhile, Megan smiled at Kara. "You did a great job getting your sister away from Nolan. Eat up, then go see him. Make sure he attends your birthday party, alright?"
