Ironhead frowned as he looked at Gregory. "Mr. Lynch, I don't mind helping this kid, but can't you send someone else? My job is to protect you.
"Normally I wouldn't be so concerned, but right now, Fang is challenging us and has seized several territories in Eastern State. His moves are clearly directed at you. I won't feel at ease if I leave now."
It was a fact that Fang was acting on Nolan's orders, taking the first step toward gaining full control over Eastern State's underworld.
When Gregory first heard about it, he was furious. But after his anger subsided, he surprisingly calmed down and didn't even plan on retaliating immediately.
"Ironhead, Fang has shown his ruthless ambition from the start. Don't worry about him. The Eastern State underworld may seem calm, but everyone has their own agendas, and plenty wants to take me down.
"Since that is their aim, I'm more than ready to respond. I'll use Fang's moves to gauge the situation first. We'll see who has the better moves and who gets wiped out in the end. Now, go do as I instructed. For now, nothing will happen on my end."
Since Gregory had put it that way, Ironhead said no more and nodded. However, he still turned to Shaun and stated coldly, "Kid, I hope you don't drag this out. After I finish up your task, I need to return to protect Mr. Lynch. Do you understand?"
Shaun put on a fawning smile. "I understand. How dare someone target Mr. Lynch! It's outrageous. Once I head the Baxters, our family will support Mr. Lynch fully."
Gregory gave Shaun a faint smile. "Alright. You can go now. I'll be waiting for your good news."
