However, it was still a betrayal.
Lincoln sat on the couch and desperately looked at Shaun.
He sighed and said, "If we do that, the Baxters will be working for Mr. Lynch."
When Shaun heard that, he gently said, "Even so, it's still better than to be destroyed, right? Besides, Godfather promised me that he wouldn't take away our autonomy. We can also make the Baxter family great again with his help. Trust me, Lincoln. I won't do any harm to our family."
At that moment, Lincoln felt slightly convinced. Though, you could argue that he just had no other choice.
However, he still couldn't accept it.
He looked at Shaun and said, "Have you never thought that Mr. Lynch might be defeated one day? If my information is correct, he should be facing a great crisis in Eastland right now. Maybe he doesn't even care about us at all!"
Shaun laughed loudly when he heard that.
He said, "Do you think I wouldn't know that, Lincoln? To tell you the truth, he's not making any moves right now because he's setting a trap.
"He thinks that a lot of people are targeting him nowadays. So, since someone has made their move, he decided to act weak. That way, he can see how many others will come out. Then, he plans on defeating them once and for all!
"That's my godfather's true plan. He wants to use this opportunity to take over the Eastern State underworld as soon as possible. That's what he wants the most right now!"
When Lincoln heard that, his face became pale. If Gregory really dared to think about it and was capable enough to pull it off, then the Baxters really had no other choice.
