The price of betrayal (Jack and Ashley) novel Chapter 210

When Nolan heard that question, he was stunned. He wondered if Jeanne was drunk.

Seeing how quiet he was, she shook her head. "Even now, you're still unwilling to pick me, Nolan. Could it be that you're afraid to do so?"

Jeanne felt as if she was humiliated badly, and her eyes started tearing up.

He sighed and said, "Go back and rest. Stop joking about this. It's pointless."

When she heard that, she got up right away and downed another shot. Then, she got closer to him and placed her hand gently on his shoulder.

She looked at him with a craving gaze. "Why won't you dare to say that you like me when you can even lie about helping Megan in the dark, Nolan? Have you had any fantasies about me before?"

It felt as if Jeanne was forcing him to choose her. They were so close to each other that they could feel each other's breaths. Their bodies were slowly coming into contact as well.

However, Nolan just sighed and pushed her away. "You're drunk."

At that moment, Jeanne sobered up a little. When she thought about how flirtatious she was earlier, she blushed a little. However, she wasn't willing to accept what was happening.

She said, "You wouldn't even dare to flirt with me a little, Nolan?"

He sighed and said solemnly, "Would you believe me if I told you that I didn't want to hurt you?"

Jeanne froze when she heard that. Then, she sighed and looked around the house.
