Nolan was impressed by Megan's thought process.
The audacity for her to claim that he had planned everything meticulously to deceive her. Why had he never noticed that this was who she was before?
Looking at how Megan was accusing him so confidently, Nolan shook his head and sighed. "Megan, have you been alright in the head these past few years? You should probably see a doctor soon."
Megan lost her temper at that implication, pointing at him as she yelled, "You're the one who's sick! Do you really think I don't know the true extent of your connection to the Baxter family?
"But with what you've done today, they don't owe you anything anymore. What cards do you have left to play?"
Megan then pointed at the Crystal of Devotion Audrey was wearing and sneered, "You've created quite the persona for yourself, haven't you?
"You fooled Audrey completely with that fake Crystal of Devotion, then deliberately showed up in front of me, hoping to make me jealous and regretful by passing it off as genuine.
"You also brought Audrey to this charity gala, knowing full well that the Baxter family, for the sake of their reputation and out of obligation, would have to back you up.
"That's how you managed to outbid me for Verdant Serenity without spending a single dime. You even drew that thing just to bait the Baxters into stepping in.
"That way, both you and the Baxters keep your reputation. Did you really think your scam would fool me? It's ridiculous and pathetic!"
Megan laughed loudly, as if she had won, and pointed at Audrey. "Only this foolish woman, who's hopelessly devoted to you, would willingly be fooled by you. No one else would be that stupid.
"A penniless nobody who spent three years in prison not only splurged on the Crystal of Devotion, but also dropped 60 million dollars to win the bid for Verdant Serenity?
"Your most ridiculous move was stepping onto the stage to draw for the auction. It's laughable. Did you think you were a famous artist? You made a complete fool of yourself.
"You're idiotic and childish. I'm very disappointed in you, Nolan."
Audrey couldn't hold back her anger any longer and huffed at Megan, "Megan, you can't talk about Nolan like that. Y-You're being really hurtful."
