The Princess and the Pauper (Arabella) novel Chapter 1693

She initially offered 40 million dollars.

"Doesn’t Sean's life worth 35 million to you?" Steward had never expected this gutsy young woman to haggle so fiercely. In all his time, besides Sean, he'd never met anyone with such nerve.

"Once I’ve recovered, not even wings could you help you fly away," Sean carried a warning, a smile played on his lips the entire time.

"Good luck catching me first." Upon saying this, Arabella asked in a casual manner, "Can we proceed with the surgery now?"

The audacity of this girl seemed to catch everyone off guard; every bodyguard in the room was a mix of shock and awe.

Who in the world was she?

To be so daring in front of Sean.

Steward glanced at Sean and, seeing no sign of disapproval, warned Arabella in a low voice, "If you do any tricks, it won't be just you at risk—everyone you care about also won't make it out alive."

"Don't worry, Steward. I said I'd save him, I will see it through to the very end."

"How sure are you?"

"One hundred percent."

Steward scoffed to himself. Even world-renowned surgeons wouldn't dare to claim a one-hundred-percent success rate for their surgeries, yet this girl, of unknown origin, was making such a bold claim.

"I'm not confident in your medical skills. We've got a few doctors here who'll join you in the OR."

"Great, I would certainly need a couple of assistants."

She had referred to world-class surgeons as mere assistants.

Could this young woman be too arrogant?

Right then, the few several esteemed doctors knocked and entered the room.
