Chapter 689
“Why on earth?” Romeo held her tightly, staring into her eyes, “Are you worried about me? Trying to stand up for me? Alright, I can tie that guy up in front of you for you to vent, but you can’t be like just now.”
Arabella thought he was talking too much, and it was giving her a headache. She wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed him.
Romeo was stunned by her action, and he was kissed for a while before hearing her say, “You’ve got a violent streak.”
Romeo looked perplexed.
Just a light hit, and he’s accused of being violent?
Arabella, “If you hit me again, you can kiss our intimacy goodbye.” Arabella had never been hit before, especially not in front of so many people. It was so embarrassing.
“I’m just worried about you.” Romeo looked into her eyes, his heart softening, “Does it hurt?”
Arabella, “Hurt liked hell.”
“Let me see.” Romeo carried her into the car, trying to lift her skirt.
Arabella, “What are you doing?”
Romeo, “I’m checking if there’s any swelling.”
Carl, having finished his business, was about to get in the car when he saw Romeo trying to lift Arabella’s skirt.
Should he be seeing this?
Romeo saw him coming, his eyes a bit annoyed, “You have perfect timing.”
Carl, “I, I will just.” Carl was about to turn around.
Arabella, “Çarl, take me back to school.”
“Uh?” Carl looked at Arabella, then at Romeo. Were they mad?
“I was too hasty just now, and I didn’t mean to hit you. You’re not concerned about your own safety.” Romeo held her face, speaking gently, “Why don’t you hit me back?”
Arabella didn’t respond, seemingly ignoring him on purpose.
Romeo, “Carl, if you see a fruit stand on the way, stop and buy me a durian.”
“Huh?” Carl was completely baffled. Was Romeo going to buy a durian?
“Is durian okay?” Romeo was still asking her, “Or do you prefer a cactus?” both of them would hurt if used to hit someone.
Arabella couldn’t help but crack a tiny smile.
“You finally smiled.” Romeo sighed in relief, his lips curling up as well, “I’m most scared when you’re angry.”
She was the only person in the world who dared to give him the cold shoulder.
Arabella, “Who told you to lay your hands on me.”
Romeo, “It was my hand acting on its own. I had nothing to do with it.”
Arabella was speechless.
