The idea of building an amusement park had been in my head for years. Back then, though, I didn't have the funds to make that dream a reality.
But now that I'd finally saved up a decent amount, it seemed like the perfect moment to take a chance and see where it would lead. Even if things didn't pan out, it wasn't like my whole world would fall apart.
I still had two reliable income streams. One was my comic series, which Huxham Corporation was handling, and the other was the brand I'd built from scratch. At the very least, I knew I wouldn't be struggling to get by.
The staff at the animation studio fell silent for a moment after hearing what I said. He said, "Alright, in that case, send the script over."
Relieved to hear his answer, I let out a quiet breath. "Great. But I need to know about your timeline. How soon can you get started on my animated series?"
There was a brief pause on the other end before he responded, "A company we were set to work with recently backed out, so our schedule has opened up. If you're willing to put down a deposit, we can actually start on your project right away."
Money wasn't a concern, so I asked, "What's the deposit amount? And what's your bank account number? I'll send it over right away."
My straightforwardness seemed to catch him off guard. "How about we meet at a bank instead? We can sign the contract there first.
"You can transfer the money once everything is official and the deal is set. That way, neither of us has to worry about getting scammed."
I let out a small laugh. "Sounds good. But I'm at Huxham Corporation right now, so I can't go too far. Do you have time to come here?"
His response was quick, almost hurried. "Of course! Just hold on. I'll be there as soon as I can!"
