The Return of the Disguised Princess novel Chapter 173

Chapter 174 She Is the One Behind the Scenes

Lamont made a good plan. Amelie thought he did those things because of her, but she forgot that this person always puts his

interests first.

He tried to get the Wale family’s property, relying on why the Wale family offended the Mullen family. He was wise.

Amelie sneered. She was just watching the fun when she was not in the game.

Jay didn’t move. But it didn’t matter because Lamont didn’t expect to reconcile with Jay. He snapped his fingers in the air, and the men in white coats instantly became well–trained bodyguards.

The men in white coats controlled Jay, who was wriggling on the bed and forced him to press his fingerprints on the contract.

Jay struggled and shouted, exhausting all his strength.

“Amelie, you are so stupid! Are you planning to watch him use you and get the Wale group ?”

Jay also seemed to have thought of something. At a critical moment, even if everything was irreparable, he wanted to use his last energy to put doubt in Amelie’s heart.

However, Amelie had already figured out what Lamont was about to do. They had never worked together. Thus, Jay’s words mean nothing to her.

Even though Lamont used her misfortune to get something out of it, the Mullen family didn’t want to get it back from

Lamont.

Lamont ordered someone to give Jay another injection to shut him up.

The air became quiet instantly, and Jay shouted something important with the only consciousness left.

“Willard has been planning to get the Wale family for too long. He has already laid out a careful plan. He won’t give up easily. I am dying to see the winner!”

The police arrived just when Jay stopped talking. Jay was weak because of the drug he was injected. Lamont even called a few people to carry him into the police car.

Amelie didn’t say anything when they walked out of the hospital. She had thought Cynthia was behind all this, but she never thought so many people were involved.

But she wasn’t surprised at all. Willard hadn’t done anything eye–catching since Lamont’s mother, and Leilav disappeared from people’s eyes.

Willard was up to something big this time.

“The assets of the Wale Group are only temporarily transferred to Prosperity Global for safekeeping. I will personally transfer them to the Mullen family after things settle down.”

Amelie didn’t say anything all the way, and Lamont thought she was angry because he got the Wale family’s assets using her

name.

“Don’t overthink it, Mr. Byron. My family doesn’t care about the Wale Group’s assets. I hope you won’t mention my family when you get these things.”

She quickened her pace, leaving Lamont behind her. She wanted to leave by herself. She had to deal with so many things, and she didn’t have time to waste her time with him in the hospital.

At this time, a sapphire blue Cullinan stopped at the entrance of the hospital. Amelie opened the door and got into the car.

Lamont’s face darkened instantly, and his fists were tightly clenched together.

He rushed up before the car started and stopped the car door that was about to close.

“Don’t you think that getting into his car at this time will make the situation even worse?”

Amelie got into Jeff’s car. If it were photographed by the media, more negative news would sweep over in an instant.

“It’s my life. I can make decisions on my own. It has nothing to do with you, Mr. Byron.”
