The Return of the Disguised Princess novel Chapter 217

Chapter 217 Willard Aylward’s Lover

About half an hour later, Amelie Mullen stopped the car in front of the villa.

In front of the villa, she felt ill at ease, almost a sense of premonition.

She didn’t know whom Lamont Byron would introduce to her.

“Here we are,” Lamont said, “get out of the car.”

Then he opened the door.

However, hesitating for a while, Amelie finally summoned up her courage and followed him with her bag in hand.

“Who shall I meet?” Amelie asked.

“It’s a very important person,” Lamont said, “just follow me.”

As Amelie sensed that he was reluctant to tell her the truth, she had no choice but to follow him into the villa.

The courtyard of the villa was neat and orderly. It should be someone living there.

As soon as they entered the hall, a servant walked up to take the briefcase from Lamont’s hand.

“Sir, welcome home.”

The servants said respectfully.

Only then did Amelie realize that this place should be the other dwelling of Lamont.

“It’s unexpected that you have such a place,” Amelie exclaimed. “Do you hide a beauty here?”

Lamont didn’t reply to her joke but sat on the sofa.

Amelie was a little impatient, feeling that Lamont was playing tricks on her.

Just as she was about to say something, she saw there was one appearing on the second floor.

It was a middle–aged woman in high heels.

Amelie noticed her, surprised to find that she had never seen her before.

She didn’t know Lamont’s intention, and she didn’t want to waste time here.

As she saw, Lamont was indeed hiding a woman here.

“Tell me the truth, why do you take me to see this woman? Do I know her?”

“You don’t know her, but Willard Aylward knows her.”

“Willard? What? Who is she?”

Amelie hurriedly asked.

“She is Willard’s lover. How do you think?”

Amelie was shocked and looked at the woman in front of her curiously.

The woman sat on the sofa calmly.

“Thank you for taking me in.”

The woman said politely, but she didn’t look at Amelie.

Amelie had planned to leave, but she decided to stay here for another moment as she knew the woman’s identity. She looked at the woman in front of her awkwardly.

The woman was still charming in her middle age. She was indeed the type that Willard would like.

“She is Willard’s lover, so what?” Amelie murmured, “Does she have the evidence of Willard’s crime?”

“Of course,” Lamont replied calmly, “Otherwise, how could I have taken so much effort?”

“Is that true?”

“I know it’s hard to accept this fact, but it’s true.” The woman said firmly as if she had made up her mind. “I come here just to ask you if you have any ideas to defeat Willard completely.”
