The Return of the Disguised Princess novel Chapter 222

Chapter 222 An Accident

“Really? Emilee, on the other hand, was saved by Amelie and me. Mr. Byron, you should not meddle in this subject.” Jeff

purposefully added to utterly anger Lamont.

Previously, Lamont would have been furious, but he had just had a conversation with Amelie and had calmed down.

Lamont said nothing else and turned around to go.

Jeff looked at his hurriedly departing figure, smiled helplessly, then pushed open the door of the ward and walked in.

The filming was delayed for two days due to Emilee’s circumstances. Fortunately, Mr. Thomson did not harshly reprimand Amelie because of her strong background.

It was actually Cynthia who was unhappy and occasionally made sarcastic remarks about Amelie.

After finishing her own scene, Cynthia was about to leave when she saw Amelie arrive late.

So she deliberately walked up and stopped her way.

“Amelie, you really know how to make an entrance. Do you know that the entire crew was delayed for two days because of you?

Do you know how much money we lost?”

She said deliberately, just to make Amelie feel guilty.

At that moment, Amelie was not in the mood to have any conflict with Cynthia, so she was ready to brush past her.

Cynthia was unhappy and reached out to grab Amelie’s arm.

“Amelie, I’m talking to you. Why do you have such a disdainful attitude? Do you think you’re really that great?”

Upon hearing that, Amelie turned her head and stared at her with cold and sharp eyes.

“I gave you a chance, don’t take advantage of it. Otherwise, don’t blame me for being unpleasant.” She replied firmly before

shaking her hand and walking away.

Cynthia was dissatisfied with her arrogant behavior.

“Ms. Gladstone, don’t be angry. There’s still a scene left. Let’s do our best,”

The staffs beside her hurriedly comforted her.

Cynthia had nothing else to say.

The afternoon’s performance didn’t go very well. The sun was shining brightly during the day, and the Mr. Thomson’s face

was red from the heat.

Cynthia’s performance was decent, but Amelie’s emotions were always off.

The on–site staffs were all somewhat dissatisfied, but they dared not speak up.

“Cut!”

Mr. Thomson finally gave way to his rage and approached Amelie.

“Ms. Mullen, what’s the matter with you today? Your emotions are way off!”

When confronted with the Mr. Thomson’s questions, Amelie felt awful and instantly apologized.

“I apologize, Chris. It’s my fault. I’ll make the necessary changes as soon as possible.”

Cynthia, who was acting alongside Amelie, looked at her with a strange expression, curious about her abnormal expression.

But she couldn’t say anything directly in front of so many people.

In the end, Mr. Thomson didn’t say anything more. Luckily, Amelie’s performance finally returned to normal, and they successfully wrapped up the scene.

As they were about to lower the wire rig, a problem suddenly occurred with Cynthia’s wire.

One of the two wires snapped, leaving her suspended in mid–air.

“Aaah! Save me, hurry up, and save me!”

Cynthia was terrified and immediately called out for help from high above.

The team raced over when they heard the ruckus, and even Mr. Thomson was alarmed and hurried to the scene.

“Think of something quickly!”

Chaos had erupted on the set, and it was challenging to reel in the wire. If the other wire were to snap, it would be a disaster.

Meanwhile, Amelie was removing her makeup when she overheard the commotion outside and rushed out of the dressing
