Chapter 353 Forgiving Linda
“Tell me, how much do you need?”
“As much as you’re willing to give!”
Amelie was delighted.
She was on good terms with her brother, and she had originally wanted to tell him something about Prosperity Global Entertainment. Only she couldn’t bring herself to say it.
She was afraid that Rex would be angry if he found out. After all, he still had contact with Lamont. So, after much deliberation, she decided not to say anything.
After packing her things into the car, Amelie waved goodbye.
“Be careful and call me if you need anything.”
Rex said, looking at his sister with concern.
“Don’t worry. I know what I’m doing. I’m old enough to take care of myself.”
Amelie confidently.
Rex nodded but didn’t say anything else.
He knew that his sister was smart, but it made him uneasy to think about the dangers she was going to face.
Amelie returned to the studio immediately.
As she entered her office, she saw Linda, whom she hadn’t seen in several days.
Linda’s expression changed subtly as Amelie sat down at her desk and began working in silence.
Linda watched her for a long time before finally speaking.
“Elena, I’m sorry.”
“Why are you apologizing to me?”
Amelie looked up at her in surprise.
Then she returned her attention to the document in front of her.
“I was the one who leaked the project plan. I’m sorry. I betrayed your trust. I came here to apologize and accept whatever punishment you see fit.”
Linda confessed.
Amelie stopped what she was doing and sighed.
“Linda, I’ve known it was you, but I didn’t say anything. I had a plan all along, and your actions actually helped me carry it out. So, don’t blame yourself.”
She said with kindness.
“But… no matter what, I betrayed you. I don’t expect your forgiveness. It was an honor to work with you these past few days. I know you’re a good person so I had to come clean and tell you the truth. I’m sorry. I’ll leave now.”
With that, Linda turned and left the office.
Amelie watched her go, feeling conflicted.
She thought of the days they had spent together, working day and night. Finally, she stood up and walked towards Linda.
She grabbed Linda’s arm.
“Did I say you could leave?”
Linda looked at her in confusion.
“What do you mean?”
“Isn’t it obvious? Don’t even think about leaving. We’re partners. Let the past go. The studio needs you.”
Amelie smiled, trying to ease the tension between them.
“You forgive me? You don’t care?”
Linda was shocked.
“Of course, I care. But I also understand your difficulties. I know everything about your mother. I’ve arranged for someone to take care of her and found the best doctor. I hope she can be cured. After all that I’ve done, shouldn’t you follow me wholeheartedly?”
Amelie said tentatively.
“I’ll follow you wholeheartedly. Thank you for forgiving me and giving me another chance.”
Tears streamed down Linda’s face.
