Acting as if nothing had happened, Cindy asked, “Mad about what? You didn’t say anything wrong.”
Smacking her lips, Naomi explained, “Don’t men always get very jealous when previous crushes on their women are brought up? I’m afraid what I said will make Ian jealous and that he’ll fight with you.”
“You’re overthinking it,” Cindy assured her with a smile. “That won’t happen. He’s a very rational person and he has no need to get jealous over the past.”
Not to mention that there was no reason for him to get jealous at all, considering that they were not actually in a romantic relationship.
It was likely Ian’s slightly perfunctory responses were due to him not knowing what to say, as Naomi’s topic of conversation had been, indeed, somewhat inappropriate.
Leaning back against the couch, Naomi glanced inquisitively at Cindy. “Tell me the truth, darling. Are you both fighting? I just feel like something is off about you both today.”
Standing up, Cindy rolled her shoulders and muttered, “Why are you being so sensitive? We didn’t get into a fight. Why would we get into one in the first place? Ian is a very reasonable person and you know what I’m like as well. We would never fight.”
After a moment of thought, Naomi lay down on the couch. “I’ve never dated so maybe I’m overthinking it, but I feel like a couple in love wouldn’t act as you are.” Turning over, she continued lazily, “You’re both too courteous with each other, like you’re barely even friends.”
And just like that, Cindy froze mid-motion as she wondered, Is that the case? Are Ian and I being too obvious?
Even if they were, there wasn’t anything she could do about it. She was already trying her best, but some relationships couldn’t be faked.
After Cindy and Naomi rested, they ordered some food delivery. With nothing to do after having their meal, they napped.
When evening rolled around, they got up leisurely, intending to freshen up before going out for a walk.
On any other day, Cindy rarely went out for walks or saw scenery beyond the four walls of a photo studio since she would be busy following Ian around.
Now, she finally had time and some company.
Thus, she and Naomi hailed a cab to the night market district, which only grew livelier as the hour grew later.
After buying themselves two cups of milk tea, they strolled around and shopped.
There were stalls by the roadside selling everything from food to clothing to knick-knacks.
Laughingly, Cindy mentioned to Naomi that it felt like they had suddenly returned to their college years.
As students, they hadn’t been rich enough to afford to do much other than strolling through districts like these.
Many of the bits and bobs in their lives were trinkets purchased from stalls just like these.
With a smile, Naomi replied, “Yeah. Now that I think about it, life was better back then too. We weren’t rich, but our lives were. I thought my life would be better once I started working and became economically free, but only now am I learning how narrow my perspective was. My troubles and concerns have only increased ever since I started living independently, and I miss the old days,” she lamented with a sigh.
“That’s because you’re too boy-crazy,” Cindy said with a smirk. “Once you get a boyfriend, you act like everything is perfectly fine.”
“You say that, but you’re the one with a boyfriend now.” Naomi snorted discontentedly before continuing, “Is Ian free tonight? Why not call him and ask him to come over? Why hide him like you’re afraid I’ll see him?”
“He’s filming tomorrow, so let’s not bother him,” Cindy replied with a smile. “Besides, you and I rarely see each other, and it’ll be difficult for us to have a private conversation if he’s right next to us.”
“I still feel like you’re hiding him on purpose,” Naomi complained with a pout.
Nonetheless, Cindy only offered her another enigmatic smile.
With that, Naomi dropped the topic as well.
The next topic of conversation that they turned to was work, with the focus being on the things that Naomi needed to do for her business trip.
Cindy then mentioned off-handedly that she was going to see Gary Frye the next day.
Naturally, Naomi had heard this name before and she let out an exclamation of astonishment before staring wide-eyed at Cindy. “You’re going to see the Gary Frye? Do you know him as well? Did Ian introduce you to him?”

So what happens to Ian and Cindy. Is she/ or does she get pregnant? Do they go back to the city and Ian works with Logan? Does Aurora stay in the entertainment industry or return with Ian? Terrible ending, who cares if Aurora was drinking/drunk with colleagues. What happened with Ian and Cindy?!...
Get rid of Gary. Apparently Cindy is too dumb to figure out his motives 😡...

Sure hope Ian pulls his head out of his behind and works this out with Cindy. His brother needs him at the company and neither one of them truly like the celebrity life. Sophia and Lola will love her …....
I can’t wait for John to take down the Bailey’s including Isabelle so he, Sophia, William and Matilda can live in peace. Introduce Yolanda to Richard so they are out of the picture....
Ugh, don’t break up Sophia and John… they belong together and Sophia is just stubborn for no reason...

Sophia is so stupid....
John needs to man up, tell his mother and Isabelle to take a flying leap and confess to Sophia that he made a horrible mistake in divorcing her. This story is taking too long and once again, the bitches are looking like they are on the right side. Awful...
